          โ€“   60% students, 40% post-graduate (19% faculty)

              important way to dispel the notion that being out precludes or
              limits oneโ€™s professional opportunities.โ€

What Can You Do About It Today?
    โ—   In your department:
          โ€“   Use gender neutral and inclusive language (โ€œpartnerโ€ instead
              of โ€œwifeโ€) in department communications
          โ€“   Invite LGBT speakers to present colloquia
          โ€“   Include LGBT faculty on departmental committees to offer
              experiences and solutions (but avoid tokenism)
    โ—   At your institution:
          โ€“   Participate in surveys that query LGBT demographics (e.g.
              CampusPride climate index)
          โ€“   Include protections for โ€œsexual orientation, gender identity, and
              gender expressionโ€ in EEO policies
    โ—   More actions in the handouts!
