Accrediting informal learning for professional development at London Metropol...Brightwave Group
Slides from the Live tessello Showcase webcast on May 8th 2014.
See the total learning system in action, as we're joined by guest presenter Charl Fregona, Head of London Metropolitan University (LMU)'s trailblazing CELT eLearning Unit.
Charl describes how LMU are using tessello to support a total learning environment that's rewriting their approach to skills renewal, training and professional development, while also supplying a new mode of accrediting distance learning.
During the live showcase we saw:
● How Tin Can API builds a culture fitting the expectations of today's learners
● How to capture and harness informal learning to support your organisational learning goals
● The real value and benefits the total learning system can create for your business
Scalable custom production Moving to the next level – and taking everyone wit...Brightwave Group
As part of a series of webinars run by the Learning and Skills Group, our Director of Operations Fiona Nunn discussed how delivering custom learning projects in close collaboration with L&D teams can work at global scales.
In this lively session, Fiona used a mixture of theory, case-studies and live interactive demonstrations to show you how to hack your own working practices to deliver large-scale learning projects that add real value to your organisation.
During the webinar attendees found out:
● How to adapt smart learning production processes to build personalised learning content at large scales.
● How to use Agile production techniques of chunking and iteration to transform your learning.
● Hints, tips and workflow suggestions to manage global projects with minimal fuss.
● How the experts use the latest authoring tools to deliver rapid results at the highest level.
● How to manage complex operations to take the client with you and ensure customer success.
About Fiona
Before joining Brightwave and rising to the position of Director of Operations, Fiona worked in TV and corporate communications where she won several awards for her video programmes. An experienced writer, she is skilled both as a learning designer and project manager. As well as having responsibility for the efficient and effective management of Brightwave's production teams, Fiona is passionate about digital learning and how technology can be used to improve performance.
This presentation was originally shared at Online Educa Berlin, on Thursday 29 November 2012.
About this session:
With the arrival of 4G fast mobile access our aspirations for a continuous online world become a reality. Learning is no longer static but an ecosystem that changes with the people living it and the organisations needing it.
Under the theme 'Thriving in Uncertainty' Charles Gould will share how we can design intelligently and sustainably in this evolving network.
Illustrated with contemporary examples in learning and other media, Charles will look at how we utilise learning analytics, user generated and curated content, social media, and virtual classrooms to make learning not just online but personal, relevant and dynamic.

The FlowHUB is ideal for condition monitoring, test
stands and closed loop control applications both for
fluid power and lubrication systems. The FlowHUB can
measure and display flow and temperature readings as
well as switch and transmit flow values. This enables a
system designer to trigger alarms, shutoffs and transmit
real-time values to a PLC using just one component,
instead of up to six which might have been required
conventionally. This represents a significant cost saving
in terms of reduced complexity of wiring and far fewer
components.
It is available in five flow ranges from 0.25 to 100 US
gpm (1 to 360 lpm) and in two pressure ranges 3,000
and 6,000 psi (210 and 420 bar). The FlowHUB is
available in three versions - ‘Switch’, ‘Transmitter’ and
‘Ultimate’, all three versions have built in temperature
measurement and a large bright digital display.
The \'Switch\' version provides two configurable switched
outputs; the trigger flow rate, time delay, sense
(above/below) and normal mode (normally closed /
normally open) can all be freely configured. Each
switch is independent and can switch up to 500 mA.
The \'Transmitter\' version provides a conditioned analog
output either 0 to 5 Volts or 4 to 20 mA - full scale is
configurable to any maximum flow. The \'Ultimate\'
version has both the switches and transmitter and the
highest pressure rating of 6,000 psi (420 bar) as well as
an enhanced response time of 50 ms.
Other configurations are available on request.

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

14. CombiConnect Hygienic Replaceable Connections
Description
CombiConnect is a series of hygienic, replaceable
connections in acid-proof stainless steel (W1.4404/AISI
316L). The concept fits the G1/2A nipple versions of
FlexBar HRT pressure transmitter and the CombiTemp
Pt100 sensor.
The products comply with the strict demands from the food
industry, represented by organisations such as 3A, FDA
and EHEDG.
It takes less than 2 minutes to mount the pressure
transmitter or Pt100 sensor on the CombiConnect
connection.
CombiConnect is an entirely new concept offering high
flexibility and a low stock. The connection system is the
ideal choice for customers measuring temperature and
pressure in environments with several different
connections.

Measures to be taken at hygienic mounting according to "European Hygienic Equipment Design Group"
1. Avoid blind pockets when connecting two pipe ends.
2. The gasket between nipple and union must be levelled with the surface.
3. The union nipple and the gasket must be centered in respect to each other.
4. Avoid blind pockets where media and cleaning materials can be accumulated.

Note
When the HART® communicator is used for configuration of the FlexBar 3501, the total
series resistance in the 4...20 mA loop must exceed 250 Ohms. The configurator must hold
the device specific DDL to be able to address all available HART® features.
Non-Ex-Application Example, Multi-drop mode
12 mA (for 3 slaves) + HART® communication signals
Master

Note
In Multi-drop mode up to 15 slaves can be connected to a 2-wire cable.
The transmitters are „parked“ at a fixed output of 4 mA. Each device
must have a unique device number different from 0. In case that one
transmitter is given a device number of 0, the system will revert to
Mixed-signal mode.
