How to say Good Bye !!!
a. Bye. See you ,
b. Have a ,day.
c. Tank´s you ,
Complete the following expressions. Use the
comversation above to help you
15. A list is created of all of the words that come to mind, and then those words
are categorized. This can be done as a whole class or in small groups.
Students then create a “map” using a graphic organizer and discuss it.
Additional or substitute categories can be suggested.
As students read through the text, they can add related words to the
map.
IDEA number 2 Students show their understanding of vocabulary
by saying the word when it applies, or remaining silent when it
doesn’t.
For example: “Say radiant if any of these things would
make someone look radiant.”
-Winning a million dollars.
-Earning a gold medal.
-Walking to the post office.
-Cleaning your room.
-Having a picture you painted hung
(This idea is from the book Bringing
Words to Life, recommended in the
books section.)

22. We must choose carefully among these various
forms when selecting the proper verb to go with our
subject. Singular subjects require singular verbs;
plural subjects require plural verbs. That's usually an
easy matter. We wouldn't write “The troops was
moving to the border.” But some sentences require
closer attention. Do we write “The majority of
students is (or are) voting against the referendum"?
Review carefully the material in our section on
Subject-Verb Agreement, and notice how often
the choices we make require a familiarity with
these forms of the “To be” verb.
Notice how the information about who did the
action is frequently found in a prepositional phrase
beginning with “by.” Passive constructions do not
always include this information:

58. UNIT 3
We use the zero conditional to talk about permanent
truths, such as scientific facts, and general habits. The
structure is simple:
if present simple present simple
50 % possibility 100% certainty
59. if + past simple, would + verb
could + verb
We use the third conditional to talk about impossible
situations, as in the second conditional, in the past. We
often use the third conditional to describe regrets. The
structure is:
if + past perfect, would have + past participie
could have + past participie
67. PERFECT DAY by Marybob Straub, Smyrna,
Georgia
We went looking for a wedding dress on
Sunday. Laughing, we made for the door
of a bridal shop. This would surely be the
first of many stores before we found the
perfect gown. Having witnessed other
brides and their mothers, we vowed to be
happy in these moments. Unexpectedly,
my mind went back to the day we
brought her home some 27 years ago. I
said a silent thank-you to the young
mother who, by letting her go, allowed her
to be mine at this precious time. Two hours
later, there she stood, in the dress of her
dreams. My beautiful girl.
85. Nouns can be either countable or uncountable.
Countable nouns (or count nouns) are those that refer
to something that can be counted. They have both
singular and plural forms (e.g. cat/cats;
woman/women; country/countries). In the singular,
they can be preceded by a or an. Most nouns come
into this category.
A smaller number of nouns do not typically refer to
things that can be counted and so they do not
regularly have a plural form: these are known as
uncountable nouns (or mass nouns). Examples
include: rain, flour, earth, wine, or wood. Uncountable
nouns can't be preceded by a or an. Many abstract
nouns are typically uncountable, e.g. happiness,
truth, darkness, humour. Some uncountable nouns
can be used in the plural as well, depending on the
meaning or context of the word. Take a look at these
sentences:
