The results of this paper shows that the change in the shape and size of architectural spaces, designing multi-function space as well as the relation with nature in learning spaces lead to the improvement of children’s creativity and emotional intelligence.
PSYCHO-SOCIAL PROBLEMS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WOMEN TEACHERS IN RELATION TO T...American Research Thoughts
Abstract: Teachers have been increasingly presented with significant occupational health problems.
The psycho-social problem of teachers results from heavy work burden, heavy life pressure, and high
expectation from children’s parents, harassment about interpersonal relationship and the shortage of
their knowledge on psychological health. Positive environment is the basis for psycho-social health, so
creating a stress-free and harmonious environment comes first in order to maintain teac hers’ psychosocial problems. Descriptive survey method was used. The sample for the study was selected as 197
elementary women teachers working in government and private schools by using stratified random
sampling from the districts of Wokha, Kohima and Dimapur of Nagaland.
The results reveal that majority of the elementary school women teachers have average level of psychosocial problems and the elementary schools in Nagaland have controlled and familiar climate. There is
low disengagement, low alienation, moderate esprit, moderate intimacy, low psycho -physical
hindrance, moderate controls, moderate production emphasis and moderate humanized thrust. There
is no significant difference between school organisation climate and psycho -social problems of
elementary school women teachers working in government and private schools in Nagaland. It was
also found out that the women with very high psycho-social problems have high correlation with their
school organization climate.

Teacher performance assessment systems such as the Danielson Framework for Teaching (Danielson, 2013) highlight the need for teachers to demonstrate deep and comprehensive knowledge of their students.
Such an understanding on the part of teachers has been demonstrated to have a positive impact on student learning and behavior (Durlak, 2011).
a 2010 report published by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) notes that “children learn best when educators are skilled in applying developmental principles effectively to maximize student academic, social, and emotional development.” (p. 15).
The report further notes that “teacher knowledge of the social, emotional, and cognitive domains, coupled with the ability to effectively apply strategies based on developmental principles, translates to increased student engagement and improved learning outcomes” (NCATE, 2010, p. 2).
National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (2007) identified key principles that they view as collectively serving to improve teaching practice by broadening teachers’ understanding of children. Among them are 1) teaching requires not only a knowledge of content, but an understanding of children (individually, culturally, and developmentally), 2) teachers must understand how children are influenced by environments outside of school, and 3) teachers must understand how socioemotional development influences learning.

Program Design to Promote Social Goals in American K12 Schools
Explanation of Each Initiative
The three main initiatives of promoting social goals in school will include: promoting moral and character education, improving children’s health and nutrition, and creating school communities through extracurricular activities, after school programs, and school spirits (Rissanen et al. 2018). Comment by Evelyn Young: The 3 initiatives are clearly stated. Although did Rissanen et al. propose these 3 initiatives to promote social goals in schools? If these are your arguments, take credit for them. No need to give credit to Rissanen et al. for formulating the thesis for your paper.
I think that your paper could have used an introduction followed by the thesis statement.
Explanation of Each Initiative
Moral education is meant to promote good conduct among school-going children, not just within their immediate social relationships, but also in their dealings with their fellow citizens. This initiative is premised on the need for students to possess clear ideals and judgments on what action are right and what are wrong, including the determination of students’ conduct through a constant reference to those ideals. Moral education will be offered as a social goal to enlighten students on a system of rules and norms that regulate the social interactions of people on concepts of welfare, such as harm, trust, justice, and rights. For some students, issues related to values, personal feelings, and societal norms are constructs for discussions and are as such viewed as being influenced by the manner in which morality taught or experienced in schools, churches, and social institution settings. Moral education will be meant to reduce criminal and deviant behaviors among students. Moral character is required in schools because many parents do not teach their children morality issues.
The health and nutrition initiative is meant to improve the physical and mental well being of students. This initiative has the potential to improve the quality of students’ urban life, strengthen the ability of poor children to excel in their studies, and to compensate them for the substandard home and school environments spawned by competitive, inequitable social order. Health and nutritional initiatives will be strengthened through planning and introducing curriculum on nutrition with educational activities. These will include physical activities, which are combined with the farm to school programs that motivate students to consume healthy diets. Indeed, the hybrid school-based nutritional programs have major influence on attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors associated with fruits and vegetable consumption diffused throughout a bigger urban community (Dudley Cotton & Peralta, 2015). This hybrid intervention includes combining district stra.

The purpose of the study was to determine the major parenting styles and their influence on senior secondary school students’ social interaction in the area. The study made use of a sample of 1517 senior secondary class 2 students. It was an expost facto design with a structured questionnaire for data collection. The instrument was pre-tested to establish its validity and reliability. The results indicated that most parents seemed to adopt authoritative parenting style in their child rearing. The study showed that parenting styles have significant influence on students’ social interaction. It was inferred that authoritative parenting enables students to have positive self-concept, self assertuion, self reliance, understanding, and creativity that lead to high performance and social competence while other parenting styles lead to anti-social behaviour. Authoritative parenting style is therefore recommended to enhance students’ social interaction. Parents, students, school authorities and Government would benefit from the study.

ABSTRACT : The present study aims to study Moral judgment of adolescent students in relation to their
school environment. The result of the present study revealed that there is positive relationship between moral
judgments on the basis of dimensions such as creative stimulation, cognitive
encouragement, permissiveness, acceptance and control of the school environment of adolescent students.
KEY WORDS: Moral judgment, School environment.
I. INTRODUCTION
Man is a social being. His rights and duties of action rise out of his relation to other person in society.
So, Moral Judgment apart from society is inconceivable. Moral Judgment is always accompanied by the sense
of duty or moral obligation. It is the judgment which deals with the moral values or quality of an action. It
comprises of self-control, self-awareness, skill and insight, reaction to the authority of parents and cultural
mores. Some researchers in the psychological field believe that moral judgments are considered to be the result
of several cognitive processes (Keltner, Horberg&Oveis ,2006). It evaluates the rightness or wrongness of our
actions.Adolescent period of life cycle is very important for biological, sociological and psychological growth
of human being. Adolescence is the stage of preparation for playing the role of an ideal adult of the society.
With the development of their intellectual abilities, moral thinking and reasoning, they can make sound moral
judgment. They can see themselves better from others people’s view points and are more sensitive to what
others think of them. So, it is essential to develop moral judgment ability of adolescents sothat they can see their
rights in clear prospective with right of others and relationship of one’s own future, well being and also take
decision for the betterment of humanity rather than for its destruction.
Home and school provides conductive and inspiring environment to adolescent to judge their actions
properly for themselves as well as for the society.Researches indicated that home and school environment
affects the moral judgment of students. Duncan, Magnuson& Ludwig ( 2004) have pointed out the estimates of
theeffects of different influences (e.g., parenting, neighborhoods, schools) on adolescent development. Family
and school also play a remarkable role to develop the moral judgment ability of the adolescents.Taj and Prabhu,
K.H. (2013) studied in relation to their family relationship and found significant positive relationship between
Moral Judgment and family relationship of secondary school students. Rest and Narveez(1991) reviewed
research using the Defining Issue Test (DIT) of moral judgment on the effect of college upon moral judgment
development and found that there is “college effect” that is, that gains in Moral Judgment are associated with
going to college.Hing Keung Ma (2012) studied moral competence as a positive youth development construct:
A conceptual and concluding some practical ways to promote moral competence. School based programs are
effective in the promotion of moral competence.Gupta P. and Pooja (2010) studied Moral Judgment ability of
Pre adolescent children’s of public school and found that maturity is a necessary criterion for development of
moral judgment ability and also found that mother and father education provide a permanent effect on child’s
moral judgment. The adolescent learn in a school is truism. Not only they learn occupationally valuable literacy
and computational skills but they learn about ethics, citizenship, adequate judgment of people’s actions. They
learn to evaluate rightness or wrongness about people’s actions. Present day, youth is involved in many immoral
acts, studying the moral judgment of youth can help in preventing such type of problems. So, it becomes
essential to study moral judgment of adolescents in relation to their school environment.

V. CONCLUSION:
Present study is an attempt in the direction of finding a significant relationship between moral
judgments and school environment of adolescent students. It is observed that all dimensions except rejection of
the school environment havesignificant positiverelationship with moral judgment of adolescent students. So,we
can say that moral judgment competence can be improved by providing conducive and favorable environment to
adolescents. It is always very important for parents and teachers to given them such type of environment in
which they can improve their actions and decisions to make their own futureand also can add peace and success
to the society.
