Classroom/Large Group Lessons – Teach weekly character education lessons for entire student
body. Lead class discussions of topic related DVDs & stories, role playing, creative art,
and movement. Topics include Respect, Responsibility, Conflict Resolution, Bullying
Awareness, Communication Skills, and Career Education.
Small Group Counseling – Coordinate one time, weekly or biweekly small group meetings to
bring students together in a safe and friendly environment. Discuss topics such as
transitions, friendship/social skills, boys’ relationships with each other, girls’ relationships
with each other, changing families, and anger management.
Individual Counseling – Meet with students as needed to address sudden or ongoing problems
that interfere with students’ daily learning. Offer mediation to students for conflict
resolution.
Anti-Bullying Specialist – Investigate and report any acts of Harassment, Intimidation, or Bullying
to comply with the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act.
Emergency/Crisis Committee – Assist building administrator during drills or actual emergency
