The Commons “ The Commons” hosts public domain photos from libraries, museums and archives around the world including The Library of Congress, State Library and Archives of Florida, Getty Research Institute and the United Kingdom National Archives “ The Commons” gained a huge following in 2008 with the Library of Congress uploading hundreds of images and tracking stats for several months. http://www.scribd.com/doc/11481779/Social-Media-2008-Statistics
