Advanced hybrid algorithms for precise multipath channel estimation in next-g...IJECEIAES
Multipath channels continue to present challenges in wireless communication for both 5G and 6G networks. A multipath channel is a phenomenon in wireless communications where signals traverse from the sender to the receiver along various paths. This end occurs due to the reflection, diffraction, and refraction of signals of various objects and structures in the environment. Such pathways can cause symbol interference in the transmitted signal, leading to communication issues. To this end, our paper proposes the integration of three algorithms: teaching-learning-based optimization (TLBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and artificial neural networks (ANN). This combination effectively analyzes and stabilizes the transmission channel, minimizing symbol interference. We have developed, simulated, and evaluated this hybrid approach for multipath fading channels. We apply it to various coding schemes, including tail-biting convolutional code, turbo codes, low-density parity-check, and polar code. Additionally, we have explored various decoding methods such as Viterbi, maximum logarithmic maximum a posteriori, minimum sum, and cyclic redundancy check soft cancellation list. Our study encompasses new channel equalization schemes and coding gains derived from simulations and mathematical analysis. Our proposed method significantly enhances channel equalization, reducing interference and improving error correction in wireless communication systems.
Lifetime optimization and security are two conflicting design issues for multi-hop wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with non-replenish able energy resources. In this paper, we first propose a novel secure and efficient Cost-Aware Secure Routing (CASER) protocol to address these two conflicting issues through two adjustable parameters

Connectivity aware and adaptive multipath routing algorithm for mobile adhoc ...ijwmn
We propose in this paper a connectivity-aware routing algorithm and a set of related theorems. This algorithm allows nodes in Mobile Adhoc and Sensor Networks (MASNets) to provide the highest connectivity life time to a specific destination since the issuance of data becomes a necessity for MASNets. In the proposed Solution, nodes in MASNets are able to specify the disjointness degree of the available paths allowing the discovery of the optimal set of backup routes and consequently enhance the survivability of the connectivity. These nodes perform an on-demand discovery and a generation of a set of routes, by specifying a disjointness threshold, representing the maximal number of nodes shared between any two paths in the set of k established paths. The proposed multipath routing algorithm, is adaptive, secure, and uses labels to carry the disjointness-threshold between nodes during the route discovery. A set of security mechanisms, based on the Watchdog and the digital signature concepts, is used to protect the route discovery process.
Privacy preserving and truthful detection of packet dropping attacks in wirel...Shakas Technologies
Link error and malicious packet dropping are two sources for packet losses in multi-hop wireless ad hoc network. In this paper, while observing a sequence of packet losses in the network, we are interested in determining whether the losses are caused by link errors only, or by the combined effect of link errors and malicious drop. We are especially interested in the insider-attack case, whereby malicious nodes that are part of the route exploit their knowledge of the communication context to selectively drop a small amount of packets critical to the network performance. Because the packet dropping rate in this case is comparable to the channel error rate, conventional algorithms that are based on detecting the packet loss rate cannot achieve satisfactory detection accuracy.
Optical network is an emerging technology for data communication
inworldwide. The information is transmitted from the source to destination
through the fiber optics. All optical network (AON) provides good
transmission transparency, good expandability, large bandwidth, lower bit
error rate (BER), and high processing speed. Link failure and node failure
haveconsistently occurred in the traditional methods. In order to overcome
the above mentioned issues, this paper proposes a robust software defined
switching enabled fault localization framework (SDSFLF) to monitor the
node and link failure in an AON. In this work, a novel faulty node
localization (FNL) algorithm is exploited to locate the faulty node. Then, the
software defined faulty link detection (SDFLD) algorithm that addresses the
problem of link failure. The failures are localized in multi traffic stream
(MTS) and multi agent system (MAS). Thus, the throughput is improved in
SDSFLF compared than other existing methods like traditional routing and
wavelength assignment (RWA), simulated annealing (SA) algorithm, attackaware RWA (A-RWA) convex, longest path first (LPF) ordering, and
biggest source-destination node degree (BND) ordering. The performance of
the proposed algorithm is evaluated in terms of network load, wavelength
utilization, packet loss rate, and burst loss rate. Hence, proposed SDSFLF
assures that high performance is achieved than other traditional techniques.
Dynamic Topology Re-Configuration in Multihop Cellular Networks Using Sequent...IJERA Editor
Cellular communications has experienced explosive growth in the past two decades. Today millions of people around the world use cellular phones. Cellular phones allow a person to make or receive a call from almost anywhere. Likewise, a person is allowed to continue the phone conversation while on the move. Cellular communications is supported by an infrastructure called a cellular network, which integrates cellular phones into the public switched telephone network. The cellular network has gone through three generations. The first generation of cellular networks is analog in nature. To accommodate more cellular phone subscribers, digital TDMA (time division multiple access) and CDMA (code division multiple access) technologies are used in the second generation (2G) to increase the network capacity. With digital technologies, digitized voice can be coded and encrypted. Therefore, the 2G cellular network is also more secure. The third generation (3G) integrates cellular phones into the Internet world by providing highspeed packet-switching data transmission in addition to circuit-switching voice transmission. The 3G cellular networks have been deployed in some parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States since 2002 and will be widely deployed in the coming years. The high increase in traffic and data rate for future generations of mobile communication systems, with simultaneous requirement for reduced power consumption, makes Multihop Cellular Networks (MCNs) an attractive technology. To exploit the potentials of MCNs a new network paradigm is proposed in this paper. In addition, a novel sequential genetic algorithm (SGA) is proposed as a heuristic approximation to reconfigure the optimum relaying topology as the network traffic changes. Network coding is used to combine the uplink and downlink transmissions, and incorporate it into the optimum bidirectional relaying with ICI awareness. Numerical results have shown that the algorithms suggested in this thesis provide significant improvement with respect to the existing results, and are expected to have significant impact in the analysis and design of future cellular networks.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

A low-complexity cyclostationary spectrum sensing for Interference Avoidance in
femto-cells LTE-A based Networks
Abstract:
This correspondence focuses on a new spectrum sensing algorithm based on the exploitation of the
primary signal cyclostationarity property, used to avoid the inter-cell interference in a heterogeneous
LTE-A network. The performance of the proposed spectrum sensing method will be evaluated by
means of a suitable analytical approach whose accuracy will be validated by comparing analytical
predictions with simulation results under different communication channel propagation conditions.
Furthermore, it will be shown that the proposed approach requiresthe lowestcomputational complexity
among the cyclostationaritybased methods and allows better performance, even in the case of noise
uncertainty, in terms of false alarm, detection probability and deflection coefficient.
