A high standardization of the UN exam can have positive effects for students. While some students take private courses to prepare, having high standards can motivate students to study and compete academically. There are three key advantages to students taking preparatory courses before the UN exam: 1) It increases students' confidence by providing knowledge of test material and formats from prior years. 2) It decreases "stupidness" by reducing free time spent on non-academic activities and better retaining knowledge. 3) It motivates students to study hard in order to pass the difficult exam. Rather than seeing high standards as stressful, students should view it as a challenge that brings the positive effect of competing to improve their studies.
