Penalizes Sites with Duplicate, plagiarized content; user-generated spam; keyword stuffing; Panda assigns “quality score”

Penalizes Sites with Spam or irrelevant links; links with over-optimized anchor text. Google Penguin’s objective was to
down-rank sites whose links it deems manipulative.

Penalizes Sites with Keyword stuffing; low-quality content. Hummingbird helps Google better interpret search queries
and provide results that match searcher intent.
4. PIGEON 2014
Penalizes Sites with Poor On Page and Off Page Content. Pigeon affects those searches in which the user’s location plays
an important part. The update created closer ties between the local algorithm and the core algorithm.

Penalizes Sites which lack of a mobile version of the page; poor mobile usability. It ensures that mobile-friendly pages
rank at the top of mobile search, while pages not optimized for mobile are filtered out.
