This document provides a recommendation report for optimizing Sandvik Mining and Construction's warehouse network in the US and Canada. It analyzes inventory and sales data to identify $31 million of slow-moving inventory representing 28% of total inventory. The report describes aggregating customer, item, and warehouse data and formulating a mathematical model to minimize holding and transportation costs while meeting demand and a 95% service level constraint. Running the model found that Sandvik could save $250,000 annually by implementing the recommended optimal inventory levels and network changes.
