Objectives of the project The teaching of subject material in a bilingual group with isiZulu and English as the languages in the Class  Developing subject material in both English and isiZulu. Capacity building of non-speaking isiZulu lecturers to be competent in teaching both in English and IsiZulu at the same time. Competent lecturers to facilitate bilingual learning sessions
Objectives (Continue) Providing the Nursing profession in primarily KwaZulu-Natal with  professionals that are competent in both English and isiZulu as language in their practice  IsiZulu speaking professionals competent and confident to practice their profession in their mother tongue Non-speaking isiZulu professionals competent in speaking isiZulu while practicing their profession with Zulu speaking clients.
Sub-Objectives  (first year  of project) Identifying and developing the course content to be used in the pilot project Translation of case studies for second half of year to be used in teaching in Fundemental Nursing Translation of all assessment tools students will use in the community (second year course content).  Translation of the concepts most found to describe health needs in the community(second year course content).
Sub-Objectives  (first year  of project) Implimenting first year students Basic training of nonspeaking isiZulu students in basic conversational isiZulu followed up by a subject spesific module  Facilitation of second semester group discussions in both isiZulu and English Assistance of interpreter in class.

Capacity building Identifying non-isiZulu speaking lecturers +/- 8 lecturers on the moment  Start with basic IsiZulu Module by lecturers followed up by subject specific modules in isiZulu. to participate and manage basic isiZulu conversations in health have a Basic competency in writing in isiZulu have a Basic competency in reading isiZulu
