1. 800 Word Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "800 Word Essay" may seem like a straightforward task at first
glance, but delving into the process reveals a complexity that often catches even seasoned writers
off guard. The challenge lies not only in the constraint of a specific word count but also in the
need to maintain coherence, relevance, and depth of analysis within those confines.
To begin with, the limited word count requires a careful selection of ideas and a ruthless
prioritization of content. Every sentence must contribute meaningfully to the overall argument or
narrative, leaving no room for superfluous details or extraneous information. This demands a
high level of conciseness and a keen awareness of the essay's purpose, ensuring that each word
serves a dual function—conveying information and enhancing the overall quality of the writing.
Additionally, managing the flow of the essay becomes a delicate balancing act. The writer must
carefully structure the introduction, body, and conclusion to provide a seamless reading
experience. The introduction should succinctly outline the main thesis and set the tone, while the
body must efficiently present arguments or ideas, all while adhering to the imposed word limit.
The conclusion, too, requires finesse, wrapping up the essay's main points without introducing
new information.
Furthermore, achieving depth within the confines of an 800-word essay can be akin to
navigating a literary tightrope. It necessitates a strategic approach to information and analysis, as
the writer must carefully select which aspects to explore in detail and which to merely touch
upon. This requires a comprehensive understanding of the topic and the ability to discern the
most critical elements that will both engage the reader and contribute to the overall strength of
the essay.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to strike a balance between breadth and depth. While
the word limit imposes constraints, the essay must avoid becoming overly superficial. Achieving
a nuanced exploration of the topic within the confined space requires a meticulous process of
research, critical thinking, and judicious editing.
In conclusion, the difficulty of writing an essay on the topic "800 Word Essay" lies not only in
the apparent brevity of the assignment but also in the demands it places on precision,
conciseness, and the artful deployment of words. Successfully navigating these challenges
requires a writer to exercise a unique set of skills, honed through experience and a deep
understanding of the chosen subject matter.

2. Paranormal Sentimental Fiction In Horace Walpole s The...
This section will investigate the history and advancement behind paranormal
sentimental fiction. Paranormal sentimental fiction had its beginnings in the
eighteenth century. An early noticeable novel in this class was The Castle of
Otranto composed by Horace Walpole. Walpole began an artistic development
somewhere down in riddle that increased quick drama and various imitators. He is
by and by for the most part associated with Strawberry Hill, the home he worked in
Twickenham, South West London where he resuscitated the Gothic type a few
decades before his Victorian successors, and for his Gothic novel, The Castle of
Otranto.
The novel distributed in 1764 is regularly thought as the primary gothic novel,
beginning an artistic kind which would turn out to be exceptionally mainstream in
the later eighteenth century and mid nineteenth century. In this manner, Walpole, by
augmentation, is apparently the antecedent to such creators as Charles Maturin, Ann
Radcliffe, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan Poe and Daphne du Maurier. In the introduction
of the second release, Walpole makes a heuristic for perusing the novel which
without a doubt changes the way perusers are to see the novel until its end. He
claims to blend the new and old types of sentiment. The old sentiment is what is
presently considered pre novel exposition a principle component of such writing is
their incredible style. There is enchantment, the otherworldly is bottomless and they
are absolutely mind boggling. The type of the new sentiment is the thing that the
books of the eighteenth century, when Walpole was composing, would ordinarily
have resembled. These books were reasonable; they were made to portray occasions
and individuals as they truly were.
Walpole at that point, by attempting to blend these two classes, makes something
new something genuinely novel . He makes fabulous situations like protective caps
tumbling from the sky, strolling pictures, and so on and puts as far as anyone knows
genuine individuals into these situations and lets them to act in a genuine way. In
doing as such, he viably enables fiction to develop in ways that it would some way
or another have not possessed the capacity to. Walpole presents many set pieces that
3. Iran And Iran On Iran
Essay
How does Iran continue to resist US sanctions?
This paper will seek to identify three key aspects of US sanctions imposed on Iran.
First the paper will briefly introduce the reasons as to why US and Iran relations
have worsened since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Secondly, this paper shall outline
some of the key sanctions imposed on Iran which have influenced Irans s behaviour.
After sanctions are reviewed, the paper will then summarise the impact of sanctions
on Iran. Last but not the least and most importantly, the paper will elaborate how Iran
is resisting stringent US sanctions. This paper will argue that despite punitive
measures adopted by the US, Iran has found alternative mechanisms to fight them and

This coup was a crucial turning point in US Iran relations. Sixty years on, the coup
continues to loom large in Iran s national psyche and remains a thorn in the country s
relations with the West. (Bezhan, 2013)
Iran s nuclear programme has in recent years worsened US Iran relations. The
United States accuses Iran of seeking to develop nuclear weapons (Bahgat , 2009).
Other reasons for mistrust include USA s support for Iraq during the Iran Iraq War
in the 1980 s. Specifically, Iran continues to resent the US supplying Iraq with the
chemical weapons it used during the war. Adding fuel to the fire, in 1988, US guided
missile Cruiser the USS Vincennes on station in the Persian Gulf mistakenly shot
down Iranian Airlines flight 655 killing 290. (Milinski, n.d.)
In recent times a critical point of conflict is the US sanctions imposed on Iran. The
key recent financial sanctions in place against Iran include: the Comprehensive Iran
Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010 (CISADA); the USA
PATRIOT Act money laundering designation of 2011; the National Defense

As stated by Pawar et al. (2014), Helminths are parasitic worms that contribute to the
global burden of diseases of human infections that frequently spreads in developing

people with helminthic infection and this population was suggested to get medicine

symptoms do occur they can be light and include abdominal discomfort. Heavy

5. Clueless Context
Every transformation creatively replicates the original with an imprint based on
cultural, social and historical contexts. The teenflick Clueless directed by Amy
Heckerling is a recontextualized transformation of the 19th century Emma by Jane
Austen, which even though is a dramatic transformation, it still retains the ideas of
the original text. The transformation of the idyllic country society of regency
Highbury in Emmato the fast paced world of modern Beverly Hills of Clueless,
explores the socio cultural values such as courtship and marriage which are
challenged and redefined. Simultaneously, themes such as wealth and status are still
imprinted in the film despite the cultural, social, nor historical contextual difference.

Cher is the modern day equivalent of Emma. She lives in a luxurious life, owns a
car, has an unlimited expense account, and so she is an American version of the
Regency gentry. This is reflected by the montages of Cher s luxurious life, along
with the non digetic song Kids in America. However, this song contradicts what is
being shown on the screen, as they are not the average American kids. This
contrast is further highlighted by the ironic voiceover by Cher as she says I
actually have a way normal life for a teenager. When she clearly doesn t as she uses
a computer to match her outfit. Tilt shots are also used on Tai when she is first
introduced to emphasize her lack of fashion, and hence her inferior class. Similar
social hierarchy of Emma is also elucidated by the stereotypical costumes and props
of the greeks, loadies, and the Persian mafia. Therefore, it is clear that the values of
social hierarchy and wealth are still apparent in both Emma and Clueless despite their

6. Ain T Your Mama And Fight Song Analysis
Throughout the Rock and Roll: Catalyst For Social Change course, students have
learned about many different artists, genres, and their songs in Western musical
history. More importantly, we ve learned about how those artists and songs have
addressed far reaching social issues. For instance, Charley Patton s Tom Rushen
Blues addressed racism, and Prince s songs provoked controversy concerning
censorship and freedom of speech, as discussed in the previous weeks. However,
there are many more songs that could be used as teachers of this wide array of social
issues. Rachel Platten s Fight Song and Jennifer Lopez s Ain t Your Mama are two
songs that Western Music History students could benefit from learning about. Rachel

Ain t Your Mama is a song set in ABAB form with a strong rhythmic focus that
obtained a spot on the US Billboard charts shortly after its release in early 2016
(Billboard Editors). Lopez is also a democrat, but, unlike Rachel Platten, intended
for her song to make a strong message from the beginning, and doesn t publically
associate it with the Democratic party (Kershaw). The lyrics are constructed from
a woman s point of view blatantly telling her man that she s not going to do work
for him. The lyrics start off strong by stating, I ain t gon be cooking all day, I ain t
your mama; I ain t gon do your laundry, I ain t your mama; I ain t your mama, boy, I
ain t your mama When you re gon get your act together? and continues in this
fashion throughout the entire duration of the song (Thomas et al). These lyrics
represent the issue of feminism that s been argued about for many decades by
rejecting the traditional view of women as those who stay at home and take care of
their husbands. Rather, Lopez seems to suggest that men should take care of
themselves because women much potential that shouldn t be wasted by waiting on
men. Another section of the song that perfectly illustrates this point says Things are
about to change, round here, round here; We used to be crazy in love, Can we go
back to how it was? When did you get too comfortable? Cause I m too good for

series of business functions, each with an associated Recovery Time Objective
(RTO). RTO is the length of time that the business function can be unavailable before
it begins to seriously impact EPCOR. The strategy of the overall corporate business
continuity program is to ensure RTOs of critical business functions are met. The
strategies required for each critical business function vary with the RTO and with the
essential technical and personnel requirements for each business function. 1.1.3

Conclusions:
The standard curve is used to determine the concentration of each unknown sample.
The trendline in Figure 1 has a desired regression value: R2 = 1. R2 measures the
distance between the fitted line and the data points. The value ranges from 0 to 1,
and the higher it is, the better the model fits the data points. The value 1 suggests
that the model is the best fit model in which all the variability of data around their
mean can be explained. Therefore, the regression value is acceptable and the standard

9. the physiological responses common to most sports injuries
Damaged Tissue
The body will respond to an exercise stress in one of three ways and there may be
primary and secondary damage to the tissues as a result of exercise stress. The three
responses the body will take to an exercise stress are, the tissues may adapt to the
stress and no damage occurs, the tissues may become injured, or the tissues will die.
In athletics, athletes often stress their bodies to the point of tissue injury and tissue
death. The body s primary reaction to an injury is tissue destruction. The degree of
tissue destruction will greatly depend on the injurious force. Secondary damage may
occur from cell death. Cell death occurs because of the hypoxia associated with the

A sprain typically occurs when people fall and land on an outstretched arm, slide
into base, land on the side of their foot, or twist a knee with the foot planted firmly
on the ground. This can result in an over stretch or tear of the ligaments supporting
that joint. Common type of sprains would be in the ankle and in the wrist. The ankle
is one of the most common injuries in professional and recreational sports and
activities. Most ankle sprains happen when the foot abruptly turns inward or outward
as an athlete runs, turns, falls, or lands after a jump. One or more of the lateral
ligaments can be injured if this occurs. Wrists are often sprained after a fall in which
the athlete lands on an outstretched hand.
The usual signs and symptoms of a muscle sprain include pain, swelling, bruising,
and the loss of functional ability. Sometimes people feel a pop or tear when the
injury happens. However, these signs and symptoms can vary in intensity, depending
on the severity of the sprain.
1st Degree Sprain: A 1st Degree sprain causes overstretching or slight tearing of the
ligaments with no joint instability. A person with a mild sprain usually experiences
minimal pain, swelling, and little or no loss of functional ability. Bruising is absent
or slight, and the person is usually able to put weight on the affected joint. 2nd
Degree Sprain: A 2nd Degree sprain causes partial tearing of the ligament and is
characterized by bruising, moderate pain,
10. Otis Metaphors
Otis is referring to Nietzsche and Helmholtz s shared assertion that knowledge, which
scientists work to produce, is itself a metaphor, which, as Nietzsche explains, is
arbitrarily based on two representational systems that mediated one s access to reality:
the sensory image (an arbitrary metaphorical representation of the stimulus that
provoked it) and the word (an arbitrary metaphorical sign for the image). Thus,
everything that humans perceive in the world is an arbitrarily constructed metaphor
and the knowledge and ideas created by those perceptions are inherently metaphorical
as well. This also speaks to the fact that the scientific hypotheses that she presents in
this essay, specifically in regard to the nervous system, lacked concrete... Show more

In order to theorize or attempt concrete study of the human nervous system,
metaphor had to be employed in order to make sense of what is still nonsensical to
humans. In these cases, the metaphors remain the ideas because no evidentiary
support is offered after the metaphor. Outside of these examples, I find her argument
less convincing. Ideas need not be based in metaphor when concrete evidence and
knowledge are present. For example, understanding of established gravitational law
does not require a metaphorical connection to the laws and properties of electricity.
However, in the exploration of knowledge currently completely unknown to
scientists, metaphor as ideas is important for the advancement of scientific
understanding. I also agree that metaphor is an important way for ideas to be
understood in layman s terms, which Otis; illustrates in people s early understanding
of the telegraph in which it was explained as a fleshy bond of severed portions of
human flesh

This catastrophe forced the Miami Police

14. The Canterbury Tales By William Shakespeare
The Canterbury Tales are told in the passage of a Pilgrimage to Canterbury. We see
that these characters all interact with one another, they all have different points of
view on several topics. The portraits [of the pilgrims] which appear in the General
Prologue have a decided togetherness, that the portraits exist as parts of a unity
(Hoffman 492), Their actions and their tales should be thought about in context, who
tells the tale, what is their age, what is his or her profession and how he or she
interacts with other characters. They each have their own maistrie, they all have
mastery over something that influences their own distinct personalities. Thus, how
these personalities and maistries mesh with each other is incredibly important to
further understand the tales themselves and the reasons behind why each character
tells them. The tales themselves are merely parts of a bigger tale, the Canterbury Tales
.
Focusing on two characters in particular the Wife of Bath and the Clerk, one can
explore what the interactions between characters influence their tales. Starting
with the Wife who is described as a worthy womman al her lyve:/ Hosbondes at

15. Absinthe History
Absinthe is a spirit flavored with sweet fennel, anise and many other culinary and
medicinal herbs. Most notably, absinthe uses flowers and leaves of the grand
wormwood plant.
THE HISTORY OF ABSINTHE
Egyptians used the absinth plant to treat various ailments. Romans and Greeks also
used it to create a potion that was steeped in wine and was rumored to heal stomach
bugs. (Wormwood=worm wode, or a cure for worms.)
During the seventeenth century, a Swiss man created the first spirit based absinthe.
In 1805, the first absinth factory was built in Pontarlier, France.
During the 1800s, the French military gave used absinthe to fight off malaria.
Soldiers, however, enjoyed the spirit and continued to drink it, even in times of peace.

After distilling, though, the absinthe would come out colorless instead of its normal
vibrant hue of green. To achieve its natural green hue, some distillers added green
coloring and sometimes blue coloring to the spirit. Now, some distilled absinthes are
sold clear, while others still sell with green color added in.
MACERATION
Maceration was the first method of production for absinthe. During the process,
herbs are macerated into a neutral alcoholic base, like grape or beet spirit. Each
herb macerates for a few weeks in various vats, and then the vats are blended
together. The result is a pure, natural green color, like the La Muse Verte. Because
maceration avoids using distillation, all the original flavors from plants and herbs are
intact and plentiful.
THE GREEN FAIRY
La Fee Verte translates in English to The Green Fairy. It was a French nickname for
their drink in the nineteenth century. More than 100 years later, absinthe and Green
Fairy are still used interchangeably by absinthe s

19. Compare And Contrast English Creation Story
Every human culture has its own story about the creation of the world. There are
countless cultures in the world, therefore compare all of them seems impossible.
But today I d like to contrast two widespread creation stories; the christian and the
iroquois one. First, I d like to list the similarities of the stories. In both of the stories
there is a powerful tree, and because of harming the tree the main characters had to
leave their homes. Eve and the skywoman wanted something from the tree they
weren t allowed to have but they did it anyway. In other words, our existence is
based on a sin. Would our world be like this if the skywoman hadn t got these
cravings? What would it look like if Eve didn t take the fruit? Nobody can answer
these... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biggest one is probably the role of God. The Iroquois don t mention a God at
any time, the skyworld was always there. Christians otherwise believe that God
created the whole world. He is an all powerful God that can punish everybody. He
punished Adam and Eve for eating the forbidden fruit and he punished all the
people, expect Noah and his family, because they were naughty. In order to that
you have to respect your God and stick to the ten commandments. In these bids are
again articles about respecting god and his work. The skywoman on the other
hand fell from the skyworld, nobody knows exactly why. There was no God who
threw her out. Therefore, you have to respect your God as a christian, otherwise he
could punish you. As an Iroquoi you only have to respect nature, if you did
something wrong you have to learn from your mistakes. Also important to mention
is the role of the animals. While the animals in the Iroquois story help the woman,
the birds even saved her life, they don t play an important role at Adam and Eves. If
they would, it wouldn t be a good one since the snake convinced Eve to eat the fruit.
While the gigantic turtle let the woman live on her back and gave her a home, Noah
had to save all animals. That makes clear that the human beings stand above other
beings in the christian
20. Effectiveness Of The Treatment Before And After The...
To analyze the effectiveness of the treatment before and after the surgical
revascularization intervention procedures in PAD patients who may have
microvascular dysfunction, we studied the change in oxygen concentration at the
walls of capillaries.
Oxygen transfer in a vascular network that is essential for the tissue metabolism
takes place at the level of microvasculature and capillaries through convection and
diffusion. Oxygen delivery or convective flow of oxygen to the capillaries and
oxygen extraction or diffusive transport of oxygen from hemoglobin (Hb) to tissue
cells are the two limiting factors associated with oxygen transfer in a vascular
network (Pittman, 2000).
In order to quantify the transfer rate of oxygen from capillaries to the surrounding
tissues, micro circulation in the vascular network was modeled in a virtual simulation
software using the chemical reaction module. Two mechanisms associated with the
oxygen transfer; oxygen from the blood is transferred to the inner wall through
convection and from inner capillary wall to the surrounding tissue via diffusion
phenomena, are shown in Figure 1.
Microcirculation includes both delivery and extraction that is governed by the
equation from Fick s Principle (conservation of mass).

21. Proverbs in Things Fall Apart
Proverbs are wise sayings that address the heart of the discourse in any given context,
truthfully and objectively. In Africa and in Nigerian cultures especially, they are
considered the reliable horses, which convey meanings to their destinations or hearts
of the listeners. This study investigates aspects of the meaning of proverbs in the
work of a Nigerian author, Achebe s Things Fall Apart. It is contended that meanings
of Nigerian proverbs can be worked out within the semantic, referential, ideational,
stimulus response, realist and contextual theories. Types of meaning and proverbs are
addressed and situated within the two works. It is advanced that proverbs play
significant roles in clarifying, exemplifying, underscoring and... Show more content

Theory: Stimulus Response Types: Denotative, Affective. Analysis: There is a tact
advice almost coinciding with the English proverb, one good turn deserves another
here. If a person accords honor or reverence to the successful ones, it is likely that
he is also going to be successful. In other words, the sense of the proverb is that a
person who helps another man helps himself indirectly as he gets familiar with what
that man engages in and this will ultimately lead him also to greatness, directly or
indirectly. 5 A toad does not run in the daytime for nothing.15 Theory: Ideational
Types: Denotative/Stylistic Analysis: The proverb tasks our mental conception or
general knowledge of the toad as a nocturnal animal. If such an animal therefore does
run (a lexical item preferred by the author for metaphorical or stylistic effect, against
the normal collocative word, jump ) in the day, there must be something amiss. The
sense of the proverb is that there is a cause for anything strange that happens; there
must be a reason, at least no smoke without fire . A toad running in daytime is
probably pursuing something or certainly something is pursuing it. It has to do with
the cause effect relationship. An old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are
mentioned in a proverb.p.15 Theory: Stimulus Response Types: Denotative/Thematic

Debate as a Life
Background History of Debate In my sophomore year of highschool, I joined the
policy debate club. Policy debate was an intensive academic activity where teams of
two would engage in discussions on the best government s policy to enact. There
would be two teams in each debate round: affirmative or negative. The affirmative
would have to propose a policy that the U.S federal government should enact based on
their constructed advantages for implementation. After that speech, the negative team
would have to make arguments, for examples, kritiks, disadvantages, and
counterplans, to refute the implementation of the plan. Throughout an almost two
hour debate round, both teams will try to speak almost 500 words per minute in
order to respond to arguments. As one can imagine, debate is fast paced activity that
boils down to which team can best defend their arguments. Within in this debate
round, there would be a judge to decide the winner. Flow: Difference between
Exotelic and Autotelic
The concept of flow in occupational science is described as an autotelic experience
where an individual is fully engaged under a high challenge activity. Often times,
one may lose sense of time due to high level of concentration. My engagement with
debate did not begin with an autotelic experience, but I was introduced by my friends
to a debate camp that paid students $400 dollars each to learn the structure of policy
debate. This

The Black Narrows. It is at the far south end of the city, underground in the old
urban where humans use to live before the Angles built the Sky Cities. It s only in
the past fifty years that humans have actually been living above the ground. A lot
of people still live there. Mostly people who can t get jobs or want to get away
from the Order. Demons never go down there, not even Law Enforcement. It is a
dangerous place for both demons and humans alike. One stupid mistake and you d
be dead or worse. It s also the perfect place to find all the information you need on
any demon. It s a creepy place with strangely dressed people...well stranger than
normal...and fatherless families wandering about. Everything is dimly lit with sickly

turn into minutes and those minutes turn into almost an hour, I start to worry.
What if this demon, Daemn isn t in the system? What if he s just some rogue
demon who just goes around stealing from humans? I quickly push those thoughts

meaning he has to be in the system. He looked too clean and too powerful to not be

Many people do not understand what it is like to be transgender but choose to
speak over transgender people even when they say it is wrong and not how it is. If
people would just listen to trans people then there would be less issues. To help
people understand what is going on in this world for trans people I will explain
what is happening in today s world. I will show you some of the issues trans people
face in the public eye. Even with talking about all of theses different experiences
they are still not everyone s point of view and can not be taken as something every
trans person experiences. There are trans people who will never experience any of
this hate and others will only experience the hate and none of the good parts.
Transgender is a human who does not identify with the sex that they were assigned at
birth. Transgender is often shortened to trans to make it easier to say and convey
what they mean easier. Transgender is an umbrella term to encompass many
identities. There are many other identities that go along with being transgender like
trans man or women, trans demiboy or demigirl, trans nonbinary, and many others.
The thing that makes you transgender is if you self identify with being transgender
than you are transgender. There are many words at this moment that are used against
trans people and some of those words are tranny, transgendered, transexual, shemale,
and many others. These words are used against trans people to spread hate in this
world. Many trans

27. Character Analysis Of Whistling Vivaldi
The focal subject of Whistling Vivaldi is character, and, moreover, the distinctive
ways individuals react to each other s personalities. Amid his times of research into
social brain science, Claude Steele has considered a wide range of types of
character, including, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, social introduction, class, and
age. One of the premises of his exploration is that individuals will definitely judge
each other on the premise of their personality. Moreover, Steele contends that each
one of a kind personality has a related generalization a sort of short hand for seeing
how individuals with that character will act. Stereotyping is, obviously, a typical type
of extremism. For instance, a math teacher who expect that a female understudywon t
be ready to comprehend the material is utilizing a sexist generalization that ladies
aren t great at math to judge the understudy s conduct. Steele indicates how
stereotyping, and the danger of being stereotyped, can apply an immense impact on
various individuals conduct.
Ostensibly Steele s most critical knowledge about stereotyping is that the
consciousness of generalizations (and especially the dread of being stereotyped) can
be more capable than an unequivocal instance of stereotyping. Quite a bit of Steele s
examination is revolved around the dread of being stereotyped or, put another route,
of satisfying a generalization, especially in a college setting. For instance, Steele and
his partners sorted out trials in which high contrast Stanford understudies were made
a request to take a troublesome test. Half of the understudies were informed that the
exam measured insight, while the other half were told the exam was an analytic test,
and not organized to gauge knowledge. Steele found that dark understudies who d
been informed that the exam measured knowledge did more awful than white
understudies who d gotten a similar data. In any case, dark understudies who d been
told the exam didn t quantify insight performed at an indistinguishable level from
their white partners. Steele translates his investigations to recommend that dark
understudies dread of affirming a contemptible generalization in particular, that dark
individuals are less wise than white

African Black Rhinoceros has been dropping significantly; the problem may be

are living, breathing history that will die off because the superior species could not

also to raise awareness of the dire situation. The Black Rhinoceros has become

A Legacy that Lives On Disney is worth around 165 billion dollars, it s hard to
imagine that the man that created this company was in debt most of his life (Greene).
Walt Disney had many struggles in this life, including debt, but he worked through
them all. In the legacy unit, we have been researching people that have left a
tremendous impact on the world. Walt Disneyis a perfect example because of his
tangible work such as his cartoons, movies, and of course Disneyland. As well as his
wonderful charisma and hard work.
Walt Elias Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. When Walt was
around ten years Walt and his family moved to Kansas City. Walt s family
consisted of his father (Elias Disney), his mother (Flora Disney), and his four
siblings (Roy, Raymond, Herbert, and Ruth). Walt was a kid who cared less about
school work, and more about having fun with it. He was known to draw on his
homework more than complete it. As he got older he started having jobs based
around drawing. Eventually, Walt decided to his own cartoon business (Greene). This
small, inexperienced business is what led to Mickey Mouse, then to various Disney
movies, and to eventually to Disneyland.

of small shrewdness and simple credulity. His appetite for the marvellous, and his
powers of digesting it, were equally extraordinary; and both had been increased by
his residence in this spellbound region. No tale was too gross or monstrous for his

33. Harrington And Keenan s Reflection On Humility In The...
Reading Harrington and Keenan this week has been quite enriching. Their approach
from the perspective of New Testament studies and Catholic Moral Theology to ethics
in inspiring. With regard to the above question, I am fascinated by Keenan s
reflection on humility in the context the context of natural environment: To be
humble is to know one s power in the universeand to respect one s own place in that
universe and the place of others...Humility warns us against the attitude of dominion,
but also keeps us from being detached from the world. It prompts us to see our
profound dependence on the world in which we are made (Harrington and Keenan, p.
192).
Cultivating the virtue of humility as we deal with our ecological crisis helps us
appreciate that any ecological ethic which takes into account both God and humanity
and does not reduce both to some extension of undifferentiated nature must begin
with a rejection of the unbridled sovereignty of humanity over the earth. In this
rejection is the recognition that all work upon the earth must be informed by a clear
understanding of and respect for the earth as an autonomous and valuable entity and
the laws of nature on which the bounty of the earth depends.
Humility is knowing one s place. As a virtue, it goes against extremes. This means
that, although, in the exercise of dominion over the earth, humanity was given the
right to take from the bounty of the earth whatever it needs for subsistence (Genesis
1:29), this dominion

With over thirty million views, Budweiser s 2015 Super Bowl Commercial Lost
Dog has stolen the hearts of many. Budweiser commercials are a Super Bowl
tradition. This commercial in particular was somewhat of a sequel from the
previous 2014 Super Bowl commercial. Both starred a small golden Labrador
puppy, a Clydesdale horse and possibly the horse trainer or owner. Each year
Budweiser is faced with the challenge of topping the previous year s commercial.
An example would be in 2013, they told the story of the bond between the horse
and its trainer. The next year, they added a puppy. Budweiser s Lost Dog relies
heavily on connections for conveying its message and appeals strongly to the
emotions whether it be the music, the idea of a lost puppy, or in through the
powerful friendships. Throughout the entirety of the commercial, Budweiser does
not seem to go out of their way to advertise for their beer. The Budweiser logo only

through body language, sound effects, and different angles. This bond keeps pulling

Whitman uses old English laden with thee and thy, whereas Dickinson uses fairly
modern terminology. Whitman describes the elegant and powerful grandeur of the
locomotive from the shining brass and steel to the twinkling of the wheels. Dickinson
describes the arrogance and nuisance of it as she imagines it staring down upon the...

No Place to Hide by Glenn Greenwald is about the National Security Agency (NSA),
an agency of the United States government. The primary purpose of the NSA is to
gather and analyze information with the intent of preserving the national security and
the safety of the citizens, especially from terroristic threats. In 2013, Edward
Snowden, a contractor working for the NSA released classified informationwhich
showed that the agency was spying on Americans and collecting information without
a warrant, which is against the law and Americans basic rights. Greenwald was one
of the first journalists that Snowden had contacted when he was looking to leak the
information. No Place to Hide is an account of all of the events leading up to, during,
and after the news broke. An important basis of the book is the Fourth Amendment
and the significance that Americans place on their right to privacy:
The right of the people to be secure in their person, houses, papers, and effects,
against unreasonable searches, seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall
issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly
describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

Many believed that their Fourth Amendment rights were being violated by the Patriot
Act and the mass overreaching of the information that the NSA collected. The Patriot
Act was signed into action in 2001 shortly after 9/11 and was meant to protect the

sections, I thought this tactic would work best for this script; I quickly discovered
that for myself that the opposite would be the crowning victor in this battle. It was
easier for me to memorize the beginning moment of text upon text between Sarah
and David. My struggle truly came with trying to keep up with the text not only
between Sarah and David, but also between David and Joaquim, as well as anyone
else David interacted
38. Becoming A Drummer Instrument Analysis
Learning to become a percussionist/drummer wasn t an easy task. Learning an
instrument takes quite a lot of interest in music, as well as many hours of practice
to perfect it. Learning an instrument was always the goal in mind. I started trying to
play the guitar and that did not work out for me because i could not keep interested,
I tried piano which kept me sitting down with minimal movement for long periods of
time, and finally i tried drumming which gave me what i wasn t getting out of the
other instruments. Being able to move all 4 limbs to playin time with a song, and to
enjoy playing the instrument for extended periods of time without getting bored. It s
really how you want to find the right instrument for you, and in my case it was the

This allows you to get a feel for the instrument before you actually have to listen t
someone else telling you how to play. This helped greatly while trying to pick up
an instrument because it allows you to see what level of play you have before you
start to take a lesson. When you actually go into your lessons for the first time you ll
begin to learn things like how to create a basic beat or hold a tempo. Learning this
within the lesson gives confidence to the student by being able to play there first
beat with just one lesson. Learning this allows the student to go home and explore
more ways to go at the same beat and actually keep engaged without getting bored.
After about a year I started to lack on practicing and what really kept me from
dropping the instrument was joining a band of 3 other kids with the same musical
talent, to practice and actually compose songs. Keeping your practice fun is what
makes you come back and want to keep playing, and for me, having the other 3 kids
push me to better myself is what really led to me pursuing my

Planning to meet the needs of Learners in Education and Training
Part 1
A
According to The Excellence Gateway (accessed 12/7/14) initial assessment and
diagnostic assessment is needed for each learner in order to find a starting point, or
baseline for learning. It makes possible development of the learning plan . Initial
assessment and diagnostic tools can serve two purposes, firstly to assess potential
students academic ability in relation to national standards. This will then dictate
support required for targets and progression. Secondly initial and diagnostic
assessments can be used for higher level qualifications where there are pre requisites
to ensure that the standard is up to the required level for that ... Show more content on

By knowing your audience you can include elements in lessons and activities
which compliment the learning styles. Having a class profile which outlines
individual issues but equally as important ways in which to overcome those issues,
will make lesson planning much easier as you can use the learning styles and
learning boundaries to mould your sessions. For more skilled/experienced students
I would set a task which would keep them engaged but would be nearby if any
problems arose. For less skilled/new students I would have prepared a differentiated
activity, maybe give one to one tutoring and keep reassuring them at all times. Also
the students who are less familiar with the work are sometimes helped by their peers,
which gives those students a sense of achievement in helping their fellow students. A
good tutor is one who has time, listens to any problems, answers questions and tries
not to make students feel uncomfortable in anyway (Petty 2004).
A tutor should know their students and their abilities and plan sessions accordingly.
Through personal practice I have demonstrated by using different strategies for
individual students s needs and have set plans accordingly. All students have different

40. Patriots Vs Loyalists Analysis
As a slave I would not want to be a part of the Patriots or the Loyalists, because no
matter who I choose both group of people will see me as a slave and not as a
person. After being punished for something that she did not do, Isabel went to fetch
some water, and encounter some slaves that were arguing about the war. The slaves
fought between them and tried to convince themselves and the others which side
should they choose the Patriots or the Loyalists. However, an old man said British or
American, that is not the choice. You must choose your own side, find your road
through the valley of darkness that will lead you to the river Jordan (167). I agree
with this quote because, that both Patriots and Loyalists owen slaves and treated them
41. Comparing Boyz N The Hood And The Outsiders
Boyz n the Hood, filmed in 1991, illustrates the problems young African Americans
endure while growing up in the hood . The Outsiders portrays similar struggles
with young white males of a low socioeconomic class. Both films take place in
tough neighborhoods where many young men are killed due to violent crimes, like
drive bys or street fights. Both films also depict a main character who is struggling
with his own identity and place in the community; however, The Outsiders takes on
a much darker tone than Boyz n the Hood likely due to the point the director of
Boyz n the Hood was trying to make on ending black on black violence. In both
Boyz n the Hood and The Outsiders, the directors portray the young male s struggle
to overcome impulsivity... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to survive, the main characters must fit in with the community or risk
alienation. In The Outsiders, the rivalry, between the Greasers and Socs, remains
because generations of innocent boys have grown and fit into their deemed places
in adolescent society and fueled the rivalry under the assumption that nothing ever
changes...Greasers will still be Greasers and Socs will still be Socs, a self
fulfilling prophecy. The only way for boys on the east side to protect themselves
from Socs is to assimilate to the Greaser community and participate in the fights
against the Socs. Boyz n the Hood depicts Tre s struggle to assimilate to hood
culture where women are treated poorly and used for sex. Tre affects a hood
vernacular and regales his father with tales of his sexual adventures, despite being a
virgin, with a woman named Tisha. Despite knowing his father s stance on the
contraception, Tre claims not to have used protection inciting his father s
disappointment and anger on purpose. The film emphasizes the struggle between Tre
s background and his environment by blocking the two characters in a tight frame
with Tre backed up against a refrigerator and Furious invading Tre s intimate space,
symbolic of education
