REGISTRATION
During the 7th
International Symposium: ICF Education we will be celebrating the 20th
anniversary of the
International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. We will look back at the progress made
over the past 20 years to implement ICF and look forward to where ICF might be 10 years from now.
The aim is to virtually bring together people from around the world who are teaching about or using the
International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in health statistics and administration,
clinical practice and education such as in interprofessional education, research and product development.
Previous symposia demonstrated the successful biopsychosocial application of ICF in education, clinical
practice and research. People with an interest in ICF from around the world are once again invited to share
their experiences on this global platform and to learn from each other.
Collaboration and participation from all stakeholders are required. All participants are expected to share
their experiences (whether they present an abstract or not) and learn from each other.! Accepted
presentations will be posted on the www.ICFEducation.org website.

Celebrating 20 years of ICF: Quo vadis
SYMPOSIUM TOPICS
1. Staking stock after 20 years of ICF
Now that the ICF is 20 years of age there have been many applications of ICF. We’ll take stock of all
these developments.
2. ICF: Quo vadis
A diverse group of ICF users will participate in the discussion where they would like ICF to be in the next
decade.
The outcomes of the symposium will be a set of recommendations and actions for collaboration between
participants – specialists in the areas of ICF, in interprofessional education and collaborative practice,
primary and digital health, managers as well as patients / clients – how to realise the vision for ICF 200.
An article with the purpose of stimulating the discussion on ICF will be written as a product of the event and
posters will be generated during the event, documenting the ideas and discussions.
This two-day event will have an informal and inclusive program involving people from different professional
backgrounds with international experience in their fields. All participants will be there on equal terms,
united by an online platform.
