This document provides an activity sheet for students to reflect on their learning style. It includes questions about how different factors like visual aids, verbal instructions, physical activities, lighting, temperature, noise and other environmental factors impact their ability to understand and focus on learning. The student is asked to rate each question on a scale from 0 to 5. Based on their answers, the student gains insights that they are always aware of their learning preferences when it comes to receiving and understanding information, and almost always aware of how environmental factors affect their learning. They recognize the importance of communicating directly with professors if they have any issues or questions.

There are no "right" answers for the questions below. It's okay if you cannot recall exactly
which type of questions you most often faced; try to remember as best you can. Write from
your heart. This exercise is not meant for you to answer just like your classmates, or to
match what you may think the instructor wants to see. Take your time to give a respectful
and responsible general accounting of your experiences with critical thinking. A truthful
self-assessment now will help you build on skills you presently possess while developing
those you lack.
For the following items highlight the number that best describes your typical
experience. The key for the numbers is: 0 = never, 1 = almost never, 2 = occasionally, 3
= frequently, 4 = almost always, 5 = always
When considering your past successes and challenges with learning, how often:

transparencies, or a PowerPoint presentation, either positively or negatively affected your
ability to understand the material?

Based on your answers, what insights do you have about your experiences with
identifying and using your learning style?
- Based on my answers I understood what type of learning style I am and identifying how
the environment affects my learning. I always pay attention to the professor’s directions
but if I have questions I will ask him/her directly I don’t like to keep my questions to
myself. When I enter the class I forget about the rest of the world I close my mind to the
different problems I could have, I turn off my phone and I concentrate 100% even if I
think the class is boring. I try to accommodate myself into the environment I don’t pay
too much attention because if I did I would be worry about the lighting, the temperature

3. and more. In my opinion the classroom is a sacred place where we learn so we have to
feel comfortable everything has a solution talk to the professor if you don’t feel
comfortable. The professors are a very good example they guide us for a better future.
But the most important you have to put all your effort in every way.
