The document provides an evaluation of a personal project to design packaging for a video game. It includes sections on research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback. The research influenced the colors, props, and design elements used. Planning helped lay out the design and take inspiration from other products. Time management was an issue, as more time would have allowed for more details. The peer feedback noted things they liked, such as the sky and water, and improvements that could be made, like adding more detail to the trees and campfire area. The evaluation identifies areas that went well and others that could be improved.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Francesca Gottschalk - How can education support child empowerment.pptxEduSkills OECD
Francesca Gottschalk from the OECD’s Centre for Educational Research and Innovation presents at the Ask an Expert Webinar: How can education support child empowerment?
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
3. Research
The research gathered helped shape the colours I’d use on the front. They
were attractive and welcoming colours in the sky. With the research gathered
I can understand what the audience want so I can tailor to their needs. As
well as the colours used, the research influenced the props in the design such
as mountains, trees, tents and campfires.
Negatively it restricted what I wanted in MY design. Having to cater to other
peoples needs and not have my own in there made me feel like it held me
back. I feel as if more layers of mountains would be better as well as having
more foliage on mountain sides to make it less grey and to add more colour to
it.
4. Planning
The planning helped me lay out a design in my mind. It began giving me
ideas and inspiration. Taking the similarities from multiple existing
products about characters and title fonts. It improved my product by
making it look more professional. The mood board helped give authentic
props and outfit design ideas. The mood board also gave me terrain to
reflect ideas out of, such as the canyons and mountains.
I don’t believe there are any negatives.
5. Time Management
My time was not handled well at all. I would have created a better product
however I had to isolate on a day and wasn’t well on others. If I had more
time to create my product I would have added more detail on the front,
maybe silhouettes of the Clay, a cowboy hat on the title and more foliage in
the foreground. If I had more time to design I would’ve added a backside of
the case which would’ve included a blurb and illustrations from within the
game. I also would’ve included a brief blurb on the back with a rough
introduction to the games plot.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
Bright and
vibrant colours
Symmetrical
mountains and trees
are appealing to the
eye
Perfect mix of dark and
bright colours
Would be better
if the campfire
was larger and
had more detail
Large and dim
title to fit in
with the aged
theme
8. Audience Appeal
Notable things that I have included that I gathered from my research are having
the protagonist on the front, the use of the colours red, brown, blue, yellow,
orange and cream.
I also included things my interviewees associate with adventure such as
mountains, trees, water, islands and camping equipment and necessities such as
tents and campfires.
I included three birds above the sunrise to satisfy the outdoor and nature
dependant people.
Not using any props, outfits or activities that can be pinned to specifically one
gender or age kept it appropriate to a wider market and has no content on it such
as violence and whatnot that could offend a group or persons.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I like the colour design and I think the sky looks very
nice. The mountains look very cool
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– nothing
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
Unique and not too flashy
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
Campfire island is a bit baron
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
The waves pattern in the water catches my
attention
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
The trees look rushed below the mountains
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
The faded sky looks very nice as does the water. I do agree with how different
my product looks from other products.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
I don’t agree that there is nothing to be improved upon however I do agree
with everything else that has been written
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would definitely be more careful with the trees below the mountains. I feel they
look out of place with how scruffy they look. I’d also take into consideration the
feedback of having a bit of a plain campfire setting. I don’t like the fact that the
grass is just plain. I’d have drawn a few more tufts of grass as to not make it look so
flat and drawn. Same goes with the sand. I’d like to have had a cacti or two and
some pebbles and stones mixed in with the sand as to also not make it look as if it
was so obviously drawn. I’d also preferred to have some hunting equipment like a
bow and arrow near the campfire and the clay as well as an animal carcass to show
the game is about survival by living off the land rather than having a groceries bag
by the clays side. After reading that they believed my trees looked rushed I began
to see other imperfections, mainly the fog, look untidy. I also didn’t like that some
parts of the fog on the forefront mountains went over each other and some parts
looked more strong than others.
