6TH GRADE TECHNOLOGY RUBRIC
* Standards, benchmarks, and grade level expectations will be written as number:number:grade:
 standard 1, benchmark 1 will be written as 1:1:6th. All will be scored on a 4-1 proficiency
leveling, with 3 showing fulfillment of 6th grade level proficiencies.
* The type of assessments are listed below; 2 formative (work-in-progress) assessments will be
sent home each week while summative assessments will occur as projects are completed.

Standard 3:The student will demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts,
   systems, and operations.
3:1:6th: Develop a document using a word processing program including headers/footers and
         adjusting margins, with assistance.

3:2:6th: Enter data using a spreadsheet program, independently.

3:3:6th: Develop keyboard capabilities to use touch typing techniques at a level of 20 WPM
         and 85% accuracy on three minute timing.

Standard 4: The student will demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop
   innovative products and processes using technology.
4:1:6th: Apply existing knowledge or research to generate a product using technology,
         independently.
