●Lesson time (15 minutes):
1. Greeting
First, students in your group introduce themselves.
Student: “Hello. My name is ~~.”
Teacher: “Hello. My name is~~.”
2. Small game
In this game, please pretend like you are a server and students are customers in a restaurants.
You will take orders from the students. A group of students will try to make orders of 20,000Yen
in total using the ‘Menu’ below. But students’ menu does not show the prices, so they will
discuss and guess the prices within the group before the lesson starts.At the end of the lesson,
please send the total price to the group via Skype message. You do not neccesarily have to
make notes of each order. You can use a calculator and just add prices of what each student
orders.
(1).Questions from a teacher to a student
Right after you tell your name to a student, Please ask the question “What would you like to
have?.” The student will answer the question using the ‘Menu’ like “I would like to have ○ and
○.”
*Students are required to order two things.

*Make sure you use the exact same sentence as above.
*Ignore small mistakes such as articles.
*If students are having hard a time understanding your answer, you can help them by using
gestures.

*During the lesson, keep repeating the same process, even if you have already finished the
whole flow with the same student. Also, stick strictly to the manual, because students’
vocabularies are limited. Don’t ask them to do/say something, but just follow the lesson flow and
remember to praise the students as encouragement. You can also use the following phrases, if
you were unable to understand the student.
1. Sorry?
2. Please wait for a moment.
3. Please speak more slowly.
4. Please type it.
*The students will call you to start the lesson, so please wait in front of the computer until they
call you.
