This document discusses excretion in animals and plants. In animals, metabolic processes produce carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogenous waste from proteins and nucleoproteins that must be excreted as it is toxic. There are three types of excretory products in plants - oxygen from photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water from respiration, and organic and inorganic compounds that are either stored or removed when necessary.
