The most important thing that I picked up from this
class was the actual definition of PR and what is
expected from PR practitioners. Now I know for
sure that PR is a field that I am interested in.

3. HOW TO WRITE A PRESS RELEASE
To be successful in the field of Public Relations, I will need
to be proficient in writing Press Releases. In this class I
got sort of an introduction if you will and learned a lot of
the basics and fundamentals of writing a good press
release.

4. IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
I definitely learned the importance of social media in public
relations this semester. It is a great way to interact with
the consumer and measure the success of a product.
Social media is a crucial tool to public relations as well as
advertising and marketing.

5. THE MANY FIELDS WITHIN PR
I love that I can go into so many different directions within
the PR field. I can work in sports, entertainment,
corporate companies, or non-profits if I so desired. The
field is very flexible and allows me to venture into many
different areas that other careers may not allow.

6. NETWORKING!!!
Networking is extremely important in the field of PR. Different
people that you associate with can open many doors and
allow you to do many things. Networking allows for
connections that could benefit a lot of people.
