5 Dos and Don'ts in the workplace Rivera, Cindy Business essentials:1 st Moore
Objective The objective of this power point is to tell five dos and don'ts in the workplace and explain how to be ethical and not unethical.
1.Do: Be on time Being on time to your workplace will prove how responsible and caring you are. Being on time will help the job get done easier.
2. Do: Be organized If you are organized, it will benefit you and your workplace. Find papers and get prepared easily. Organization will stop stress.
3. Do: Be patient If you are patient, then your peers will understand you and will be patient with you back. Patience is a virtue.
4. Do: Be Nice If you are nice many peers will like you and it will be easy to work with them and they will give you respect back.
5. Do: Listen If you listen you will be able to learn many interesting things from your peers and people will listen back.
6. Don’t: talk bad You should always avoid talking bad about anyone of your peers, now that you are there to get your work done and not be judging people.
7. Don’t: Sneak and play games When you try to sneak and play games on the internet, the bigger the risk you will get caught.
8. Don’t slack The more you slack while trying to play and sit back the more work will increase, causing stress.
9. Don’t: look up inappropriate things during work. Looking up inappropriate things at work can get you caught and fired on the spot, just wait until you get home and are off work.
Don’t: Look up personal things that don’t deal with work. Ex: e-mail, chats, etc. You should avoid this because at the moment the most important thing should be getting the job done.
Summary While doing this project I learned things that are ethical and unethical in the workplace, I also learned that in the future I can use this as a reference to guide now that I may not have any experience in my new upcoming job. This project benefited me a lot and I am happy I got it. Now I know what is expected of me in a future job area.
