This study will help to target the reasons of low achievement motivation in students. It will be helpful in fine tuning the
interventions in improving the levels of achievement motivation in students. The population of the present study consists
of all the IX standard boys and girls studying in the Gujarati medium secondary schools and the sample will be 300 IX
standard students selected by Multistage sampling method. Survey method is used for this research. The researcher will
apply the Achievement Motivation scale prepared by Dr.R.S.Patel. The statistical techniques of t-test was used.
