By: WILSON
PYP 6A 2014-2015
Assessment Task
To show students understand the implication
of subjectivity and prejudice when dealing
with differences, students create problem
solution chart for cross cultural
understanding case study.
Assessment Criteria
 identify the problem caused by cultural
misunderstanding
 describe the actions to overcome the
problem
 analyze the positives and negatives
consequences of each action taken
 conclude the best solution for the case
CASE STUDY
 If in macaw if you have a problem or you
were being shouted by other people that
you don’t know if you are wrong or he is
wrong the one who hit first will be more
wrong then the other one even though
you are the one who is wrong
PROBLEMS HAPPEN
 The problem is if you are new there you
will feel unfair because the rule in
Indonesia and in macaw is different.
 The people will get stress because he
don’t know the rule and then he was
being mad by the judge
POSSIBLE ACTION AND ITS
IMPACTS
POSSIBLE ACTIONS THE IMPACTS
You need to know where are
you in and need to know
their rules.
The impact is you wont be
wrong if you know or follow
the rule
You need to relent first when
the you were mad by the
judge and don’t do it again.
You will get less
consequence and people
will think that you are an
understanding person
You need to respect the
person
The person will think that you
really mean the sorry or really
don’t know their rules
THE BEST ACTION
 You need to know where are you in and
need to know their rules. I choose this
action because when you go to another
country you wont get in trouble because
you already know the rules
