The rainforest is a beautiful and amazing place that is home to many endangered species and plants and animals that could provide cures. The rainforest also produces a significant amount of the world's oxygen and its destruction is occurring at an alarming rate, with huge areas being lost every minute. Saving the rainforest is important because it would be a tragedy to lose such a special place and all it contains.
