5. Our Neural Net Pipeline trained to recognize human faces in photos and automatically
generate realistic 3D Geometry of the human subjects pictured.
We developed a side application of a facial recognition system that generates a realistic 3D
geometry of a human given one or more photos of the desired individual.
Across 300,000 humans, spanning all ethnic, age and gender combinations, dozens of
photos from different angles, lighting conditions, and types of cameras are taken. These
photos form the “input data” for our neural net trainings. At the same time as the photo
taking, a laser scan of each individual’s whole head is captured. Each laser scan is the
“output data” for our neural net trainings.
The result is a programmable system given one or more photos of anyone, it generates a
realistic 3D likeness of them in under one second. After additional automated processing,
within 4-5 seconds the new 3D Avatar geometry and texture is ready for use.

requirements, we provide a web site for consumers and a Web API for
professionals to embed our technology into their products

9. Our web site is a Web App demonstrating user interfaces for creating and using 3D Avatars,
The site has un-minimized, plainly readable source code for parties interested in learning
and developing their own Personalized 3D Character Creation interfaces.
Source photos for 3D Avatar creation and source audio for automated lip sync animation
creation should be the highest possible quality.
Professionally created source photos work best, taken with a professional camera, under
neutral lighting conditions, and with the subject’s face filling the photo while holding a
neutral facial expression.
Our technology works fine with mobile phone cameras and webcam photos, but the lack of
professional quality in the images show.
That is not to say that a well illuminated, mobile phone photo will not produce a good
looking 3D Avatar. But such cameras work against you with their wide angled POV and the
impressionistic pixel patterns they produce.
Likewise, non-professionally recorded audio will generate lip sync fine, but your audience
will immediately pick up on the lower quality audio.
