This document defines key terms used in the Seeds Act of 1966 and Seed Rules of 1968 in India, including Act, Analyst, Inspector, Laboratory, Notified kind or variety, and Rules. The Act refers to the Seeds Act of 1966. An Analyst is appointed under Section 12 of the Act to analyze seeds. An Inspector is appointed under Section 13 to inspect seeds. A Laboratory is a State Seed Laboratory notified under the Act. Notified kind or variety refers to those kinds or varieties notified under Section 5. Rules refers to the Seed Rules of 1968.
