Letter of Introduction:
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving. - Albert Einstein
I strive to find a stimulating job, preferably not weekend work, that will keep me busy and
motivated, with room for growth as an employee and a person, in hopes of providing a stable
financial environment for my family and myself.
I am twenty-three years old, unmarried and currently employed. I come from a well-rounded
family. My parents are still together after almost twenty-nine years of marriage and I have one
older sister.
As with many others, I have had my own fair share of difficulties to overcome and have
emerged from the other end a mature and well-balanced individual.
In my younger years, my family and I would move around often, therefore I have adjusted to
accept change readily, to welcome it, and adapt quickly as to prevent falling behind.
From age 5-20, I grew up on a mountain recreational ranch, Hawequas Scout Farm of the South
African Scout Association, where we resided for over 15 years. I now currently stay in a cosy
town house in central Paarl which has opened my horizons to the hustle and bustle of town life.
I am no stranger to hard work or getting my hands dirty. When working I am mostly patient and
even-tempered and work to be precise. If I can find a way to make an effort more productive or
simplify a process, I will implement me ideas and share with my colleagues, in hopes of making
life easier for those around me.
My interests are varied and many, some of the most prominent are my sure amazement with
the theory and science of human evolution through the prehistoric era leading to the ice age,
my love of technology, focused mainly on computer programming and mobile phone software
development and as a final topic, creative, poetic and lyrical writing.
I am a loyal, artistic, responsible, honest, humorous, and trustworthy person who strives to
better myself each day and to live my life rather than watch if pass by.
After being awarded the Perseverance Trophy at La Rochelle Girls Primary School in 2005, I
persevere even harder in all that I do, knowing that if I only believe in myself, there is little I
cannot achieve.
I do what is asked of me, and then some, with a positive attitude and a thirst to learn, knowing
that experience is knowledge; the wealth of today and that success is achieved only through
passion, hard work and dedication.
I am Samantha Dawn Pettiquin.
