Nutritionally compliant
McCain 2Go is a secondary school concept. It consists of quick & simple, nutritionally analysed recipes together with point of sale and branded disposables.
Perfect for either breaktime or lunch when school caterers are under time and resource pressure.
The concept uses the range of McCain Simply Potato products (which are all school meal guideline compliant) plus either Brakes component toppings or our scratch recipe ingredients.
The recipes included within this concept are on the slide. We have chosen popular dishes with a modern world cuisine theme to attract secondary school children. As mentioned before, these are all nutritionally analysed. An example recipe sheet is at the bottom of the page
At breaktime You won’t always have a lot of time to prepare recipes from scratch, therefore we have developed simple component recipes using our Potato and sauces.
For lunchtime there is a selection of scratch recipes but with some simple weight changes, the breaktime recipes could be used at lunch and vice versa.
Point of sale including posters will be available to download free of charge and more details of the website are in the Education Guide. We have launched with a very vibrant orange on feedback we have received from schools.
For the disposables, you can buy the Vegware compostable range of containers (12oz for break and 16oz for lunch) and a branded compostable heat protection sleeve. We have done this because we know that litter is an issue in schools and these containers and sleeve can be put in with food waste.
