Joy is not the same as happiness, which is circumstantial, but rather is a heart posture and gift from God. Christians can experience joy even during suffering by focusing on God, communing with him through prayer, and relying on their community of believers. Key aspects of experiencing joy include intentionally praising God, remembering he is near, keeping one's mind focused on godly things rather than difficulties, and living in obedience to God. True joy comes through abiding in God's love and grace.
What is the peace that Jesus gives and how is His peace different from that of the world? (Jn. 14:27; 16:33) Why is peace elusive to those who live apart from Christ? (Jas. 4:1) What robs Christians of personal peace? (Jn. 14:1; Phil. 4:6-7)
LDS Gospel Doctrine Book of Mormon Lesson 42MeckMom.com
This lesson covers the Savior's teachings among the Nephites. It focuses on his teaching to his 12 apostles. He teaches them the fundamentals of His gospel and what to call His church. It also covers the 'three nephites' and how their request to tarry impacted the work. Lastly, it covers the Zion society that existed for 200 years after Christ was among them as well as the next 100 years when the Nephites began to lose their testimonies and decline.
If no one can see God and live (Ex. 33:19-23) then why did Jesus promise the pure in heart that they would "see God"? (Mt. 5:8) How did Job and David see God? (Job 42:5; Psa. 19) How have you seen God? What difference has seeing Him made in your life? What are our hearts naturally? (Jer. 17:9) What are the characteristics of a divided or insincere heart? (Psa. 86:11; Ez. 11:19) Describe the condition of your heart. Why does God want our hearts, even more than our minds, emotions or behavior? (Prov. 4:23; 27:19; Jer. 29:13)
The fruit of the spirit is joy. Paul’s letter tto the Philippians teaches us that real joy is not dependent on our circumstances, but on being in a right relationship with our Lord Jesus and with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Presenting Miraculous Recovery!, a ministry designed to facilitate recovery in fellowship. "We have proved thousands of times, and are continuing to prove, that by the simple presentation of enough of the written Word of God to the minds and hearts of the (seemingly) incurably afflicted, they can be brought to the same state of certainty and assurance concerning the healing of their body as to the healing of their soul." F. F. Bosworth, 1924
This is a collection of writings that deal with the issue of pleasing the Holy Spirit by the life we live. We can grieve Him or please Him, and the choice has eternal consequences. His pleasure is the key to our eternal pleasure. Good works in blessing others is a pleasure to the Holy Spirit.

In Biblical times, the long tunics got in the way when it came to battle, foot racing, and hard labor.
Girding up your loins" means tying up your loose garments in your belt.
A girded mind is one that is ready for action and is not easily influenced by the ungodly mind-set of those around us, nor is unsettled by any unbiblical and hostile worldview.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

howwe can experience joyinthe Christianlife?
The firstthingis to realize thatjoyisnot the same as happiness.Happinessiscircumstantial andfleeting.
Joyis a heart posture. The rootwordfor joy inthe Greekis chara, whichiscloselyrelatedwiththe Greek
charis for“grace.” Joy isbotha giftof God as well asa response tothe giftsof God.Joy comeswhenwe
are aware of God’sgrace and Hisfavor. With thisinmind, itbecomesevidentthatone wayto

Him bluntlyall the thingsthatail us.But thenwe submitthose thingstoHimand rememberwhoHe is.
Psalms 3, 13, 18, 43, and 103 are goodexamples.
The book of Philippianshasmuchto sayabout joy, eventhoughPaul wrote the epistle fromprison.

Do not be anxiousaboutanything, butin every situation, byprayer and petition, with

Andthe peace of God,whichtranscendsall

Finally,brothersand sisters,
whatever is true, whatever isnoble, whatever isright, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever
is admirable—ifanythingisexcellentor praiseworthy—thinkaboutsuchthings(Philippians4:4–8).
Here we see the importance of praisingGod,rememberingthatHe isnear, prayingaboutour worries,

Jesusalsogave some instructionsregardingjoy. In John15 He talkedaboutabidinginHimand obeying

We can experience joyinthe Christianlife throughcommunityinteractions. We canlearnthat we can
have Joywhenwe workto enhance the awarenessof Godskingdom. We can learnfrom Hebrews

not

Therefore we canlearnthat Joyismeantto be a hallmarkof the Christianlife.Itisafruitof the Holy
