General feedback
0 Most problems came about due to ;
  0 Lack of specific information
  0 Not answering the question
0 Not preparing for the assessment.
Questions 1,2,3
0 Only to Achieved so mostly fine
Question 4
0 You had to correctly complete 3 data presentation
types with all appropriate conventions for Ex
  0 Graph
  0 Diagram
  0 Maps
  0 Cross Section
  0 Transect
0 You had to gain an E for the appropriate presentation
for your topic to gain E eg Transect for Vege
0 Four ticks plus a c for each one = Ex
Question 5 A
0 You had to refer to each presentation type and say
  what it told you
0 Ie you had to tell us what the graph, diagram or map
told us what did it mean ?
0 You had to use statistics
0 You had to include what the concept pattern meant
  and how it was relevant
0 Ep = A, Ed = M, Ec =E
Question 5B
0 You had to explain the differences in the data.
0 What were the reasons for the results shown in the
  presentation
0 What processes and factors led to the pattern you
  described in Qn 5A ?
0 You had to link the factors and processes to the topic
you were researching ie what led to the river velocity
being fast there and slow there.
0 You had to include more than one reason
0 Ep = A, Ed=M, Ec = E
Question 6
0 You had to make a general staement eg the vegetation
was taller and more dense at the upper site and lower
  at the lower site
0 And then link it to the processes generally

0 A = brief or vague
0 M = specific and linked
Question 7
0 You had to say
0 what was the strength or weakness
0 How it impacted on your results
0 How this impacted on your findings or validity of
     research

  0 4 x single ticks = A
  0 4 x double ticks = M
  0 4 x triple ticks = E
Question 8
0 Only marked if you got 4 x triple ticks for the last
 question

0 Multiple improvements stated and linked to how it
would improve the findings or conclusions
Resubmission
0 If you have a resubmission available then you will
have ‘redo’ and then a task number written at the top
  of the page
0 Take this period to look over your paper
0 What do you need to do to improve your marks ?

0 The Resubmission opportunity will be at lunchtime
next Thursday (11th April) in R86.
0 Prepare your answer and write it up at that time.
Re-sit
0 If you have Not Achieved or did not sit the
assessment and you wish to re-sit the standard, there
will be a meeting in R86 in the last week of term to go
over the assessment that you must complete.
0 You need to come to this meeting to get the task sheet
so you can begin the research.
0 More info next week.
