5 Sites - That are utilities, things like puzzle makers, free virus software, communication/networking sites,
        etc.
5 Sites - That target your content, Sites that do an excellent job of presenting information from your future
        topic.
5 Sites - That are virtual tours like the live webcam at seaworld or a museum which are tied to subjects you
wish to teach in the future.
5 other sites of your choice that would be useful to you in the future.

    http://www.quarked.org/?gclid=CMXO7LGDgK4CFQFY7Aod5A3sww This website has interesting
games and information provided in a lighthearted but understandable way. (1)

    http://www.interactivescienceteacher.com/7th-grade-science-activities.asp This website provides
interactive learning with online resources (2)

http://education.jlab.org/vocabhangman This is a fun site that takes the old “hangman” game and
puts a new online spin to it. Some of the terms are quite easy but I would use this site just to get
the students involved a little bit more, or just as a break from the boredom that science classes can
    bring.(3)

http://education.jlab.org/indexpages/elementgames.php Very fun games and flashcards. I think
this site will be of great use while planning lessons (4)

http://www.historyonthenet.com/Lessons/worksheets.htm This website provides a lot of data and
study sheets for history classes that could be very handy while making lesson plans and instruction
    in the classroom (5)

http://www.uen.org/core/core.do?courseNum=3200 This site has lesson planning information as
well as tips on how to best transfer the knowledge to the classroom. I would use this site primarily
as a resource for teaching (6)

http://www.middleschoolscience.com/teachers.htm This is a very useful website that provides
different perspectives on teaching from other, more experience, teachers (7)

http://sciencespot.net/Pages/classastrolsn.html Great tool for teaching astronomy as well as links to
    interesting articles and photos (8)

http://science.discovery.com/games/games.html This is a useful tool for not only having students
work outside of the classroom but help create an interactive avenue with the classroom (9)
http://www.ncsu.edu/imse/4/lessons.htm This was an interesting find on the NCSU website. A lot
of great, very detailed, lesson plans and sources to search (10)

http://www.sandiegozoo.org/videos These videos are live and real. I really enjoyed locking into the
cams and watching the animals in their habitat environments. One problem was that there was a lot
of downtime, but still worthwhile (11)

http://www.teachertube.com This is an interesting website. I found it interesting how there are so
many different perspectives when it comes to teaching (12)

http://www.unctv.org unctv is an excellent resource for television shows, etc, that help instruction
by supplying visual aids and other points of view. I can also find up to date information on this
website about other things happening in science and being written in history (13)

https://www.teachingchannel.org/videos/common-core-state-standards-middle-school Interesting
website that is useful in seeing other teachers use common sense as well as critical thinking skills
being brought before the classroom (14)

http://www.youtube.com This website provides videos of teachers, students, parents, school
personnel, and many other videos and links to find additional videos, many of them may be useful in
the classroom (15)

http://www.middleschoolscience.com/earth.htm This website provides useful information that will
help me create my individual lesson plan based on lesson plans and outcomes of previous teachers
(16)

http://chemistry.about.com/od/chemistrylessonplans/General_Chemistry_Lesson_Plans.htm This is
a great sight for lesson planning that can include a few chemistry tricks. Dr. Jones was my first
chemistry instructor at the college level and she could tell when the class was just slipping away
during lectures. To combat it she would say “Let’s Blow Something Up!” That would always perk
the class up and help fight the boredom (17)

http://www.notgrass.com/notgrass/xcms_entry.php?xcmsentryid=14 I agree with the authors
information in on this website that the only real way to teach history is to bring history alive and
help the class get a visual image of what happened as well as try to bring out an emotional effect
(18)

http://pbskids.org/itsmylife/school/middleschool This website was very interesting in that it speaks
to the recent elementary school graduates and attempts to prepare them for the next stage of
course work, at the middle school level. I think it is well written and to the point (19)

http://school.discoveryeducation.com/clipart/category/tchr0.html This is a website others may
have overlooked. But when making my own power points as well as prepared materials to be
distributed in the class this website provides great images to give the work a broader appeal. I
believe a test with some imagery that is relative to the concept being taught can help mold the mind
by helping the child take the journey to understanding (20)
