Technology can be used as an additional tool for learning, thinking, understanding, and creating through a collaborative process. It allows learning to become a connective process that leads to higher-order thinking across various subjects such as English, math, science, history and more. By creating and learning within a system with many resources, technology can complement, teach, and explore new ways of presenting and acquiring knowledge.

Creativity: core skill for inclusive AI-based learning
One of three presentations we did for the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE) online 2021 conference.
A workshop to approach how to encourage creativity in the context of educational applications based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which are personalising learning sequences adapted to each student’s competency level, learning style, and rhythm, and can adjust the physical environment to provide greatest comfort for learning. Smart learning spaces use accumulated data from each student as well as “big data” from all users to improve the accuracy of its choices. This can introduce a “digital bubble” that limits, shapes, and defines the space where the learner can grow and explore, produced when AI takes control of the student’s immediate learning zone. To benefit from AI-based personalisation, we need strategies for avoiding risks of isolation and cognitive bias; we need to create a hybrid learning environment that federates teachers, learners, and AI agents.
In this environment, creativity is not just a global competence. It is the core skill, needed in all types of lifelong learning scenarios, to meet the challenges of the SDG’s, including inclusion and equity. As educators we need to help learners to live in a world where intelligent non-human agents are commonplace. This means learning new ways of collaborating with each other and with machines. Faced with so much disruption from environmental, social, and technological challenges, we need to integrate notions of mediation, co-working and negotiation, and foster flexibility of response in a smart pedagogy that encourages creativity along with communication, digital culture, and collaborative problem-solving – a pedagogy that highlights the importance of surprise, inquiring minds, ethics, aesthetics, self-realization, motivation, joy, and other essentially human learning characteristics.

Technology inspiring creativity and vice versa
Many of us feel inspired by technology, both emotionally and creatively. Others are evangelists of the idea that once we rely on technology, we lose the ability to be creative. The objective truth is, however, that technology and creativity often go hand in hand.
Creativity is innate and ubiquitous to human actions and thoughts, and has been one of the key driving forces of innovation throughout human history. The description of properties that define a creative mind has long eluded a precise definition. Traditionally, creativity has been linked with literature and art, but since the last century, science has also been acknowledged as reliant on creative processes. In contrast to literature and art, in which it is necessary to comprehend the underlying properties of space and how such properties are experienced by different observers, a creative technological idea entails both originality and appropriateness. Creativity inspires technology not only from a perspective of generation of novel ideas but also in a way that idea produces a verifiable representation of new processes of interaction between people.
On the other hand, technology facilitates the access to social networks and large amounts of information, as well as the ability to interactively improve our ideas. In the past, people assumed that creativity has a strict consequence of personality traits of specific individuals. However, recent studies advocate that in addition to particular individual trails creativity also depends on the social and cultural context. For example, in a recent study, Vera John-Steiner analyzed of some of the greatest minds in our history, e.g. personalities like Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein, and concluded that their breakthroughs were depended also on collaboration’ activities and social support.
The mutually beneficial relation between technology and creativity, allow us to expand our cognitive abilities to new levels of creativity at a much faster pace than before, but if such relation is not properly balanced it can lead to both distractions and interferences with our natural rhythm of life, thereby suppressing our innate ability to create. Hence, the truth question is how can use creativity to design technology to take the way we express our thoughts and innovate to a whole new level.
In this talk, I will speculate starting from my own perspective, on how technology is and can support the process of producing creative works, as well as how professionals involved in creativity activities are nowadays exploiting technology to assist their creations.
MEXTESOL 2016 Teaching Writing (workshop)

TPACK is a framework that helps teachers understand how to effectively integrate technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge to create a student-centered 21st century learning environment. Technology inspiring creativity and vice versa
Many of us feel inspired by technology, both emotionally and creatively. Others are evangelists of the idea that once we rely on technology, we lose the ability to be creative. The objective truth is, however, that technology and creativity often go hand in hand.
Creativity is innate and ubiquitous to human actions and thoughts, and has been one of the key driving forces of innovation throughout human history. The description of properties that define a creative mind has long eluded a precise definition. Traditionally, creativity has been linked with literature and art, but since the last century, science has also been acknowledged as reliant on creative processes. In contrast to literature and art, in which it is necessary to comprehend the underlying properties of space and how such properties are experienced by different observers, a creative technological idea entails both originality and appropriateness. Creativity inspires technology not only from a perspective of generation of novel ideas but also in a way that idea produces a verifiable representation of new processes of interaction between people.
On the other hand, technology facilitates the access to social networks and large amounts of information, as well as the ability to interactively improve our ideas. In the past, people assumed that creativity has a strict consequence of personality traits of specific individuals. However, recent studies advocate that in addition to particular individual trails creativity also depends on the social and cultural context. For example, in a recent study, Vera John-Steiner analyzed of some of the greatest minds in our history, e.g. personalities like Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein, and concluded that their breakthroughs were depended also on collaboration’ activities and social support.
The mutually beneficial relation between technology and creativity, allow us to expand our cognitive abilities to new levels of creativity at a much faster pace than before, but if such relation is not properly balanced it can lead to both distractions and interferences with our natural rhythm of life, thereby suppressing our innate ability to create. Hence, the truth question is how can use creativity to design technology to take the way we express our thoughts and innovate to a whole new level.
In this talk, I will speculate starting from my own perspective, on how technology is and can support the process of producing creative works, as well as how professionals involved in creativity activities are nowadays exploiting technology to assist their creations.
MEXTESOL 2016 Teaching Writing (workshop)

population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
