The standardization advisory group for smart cities aims to optimize cross-sector interoperability, scalability, and accessibility of infrastructure, systems, and services through a multi-stakeholder process involving cities, businesses, and knowledge institutions. The group is embedded in European standardization networks and serves as a platform to integrate Dutch and international normalization activities on smart cities, representing the interests of Dutch cities and businesses. The group will develop national practical guidelines to stimulate market readiness by focusing on key interoperability issues and building blocks, organizing buy-in from stakeholders, and scaling innovative solutions.
