14. “Young Leaders Conference” comes to Northeast Lakeview
Attend and you could win a college scholarship!!
When: Saturday, February 25, 2012, 8:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Northeast Lakeview College--Performing Arts Center
1201 Kitty Hawk Rd., Universal City, TX
This FREE event for high school juniors and seniors and their
parents will provide information about the college process:
admissions, paying for college, careers, time management, and the
college experience.
The conference will end with door prizes, including $10,000 in
scholarships, the awarding of the high school spirit award (the
school with the highest participation rate), and a performance by
San Antonio’s own motivational group, HYPE.

From Clemens, Emily Weatherington took 1st Place for her count on Character storybook.
Karyn Swink from Clemens placed 2nd for her story book.
Melissa Young also from Clemens advanced to state for scoring a 92
on her Education Leadership Fundamentals (ELF) test.
The Clemens TAFE advisor is Wendy Frisbey.
The State competition is scheduled for Feb. 12-14 at the Grand Hyatt
in San Antonio.
