This slide show is to promote healthy discussion around how to tackle complex problems within a group and avoid the habits of a team to fall into them. It gives enough talking points to allow open and free discussion, while still require individuals to do homework.

Implementing Menlo Innovations Methodology :: Six Years inJeremiah Landi
Menlo Innovations have been at the forefront of not only Agile implementation within the community but in company deployment methodology (Joy, Inc.). I have been coming to Agile and Beyond since its inception; just as long I have been touring Menlo Innovations headquarters year after year.
When I started my business it made sense to take what I had not only learned from all of my discussions with James but also the classes I had attended with my founders and first employees.
This is the story of our journey through the bad times and the good times to the present. This is an excellent session for anyone running a small development agency and looking to change with the current trends and see what a fully transparent (yes even company finances) and a “joyous” company looks like in a sustainable way.
Lean Coffee is a format that was designed to be easy to pick up and effective at creating educational, thought-provoking collaboration through diverse group discussions in a fast, agenda-less manner. The name tends to lead people to believe that the meetings need to be rigid and slim; neither is really true. I have attended Lean Coffee sessions from around the world ranging from late-night sessions at over whiskey in Edinburgh, Scotland to early mornings coffee in Seattle, WA.
The most important part of any “Lean Coffee” is the end result and the communicative growth that occurs with the members.
This session is not only set up to allow individuals an opportunity to network but allow individuals to digest the complex topics of the conference and provide a framework of how an individual might start their own in either their organization or community.
Being a boss is a challenging thing to do and the decisions that are made can directly impact an individuals life, not only at work.
I am going through all of my bosses that I have, past and present, and talking about what I learned from their mistakes along with mistakes that I have made through the years.
I think it is critical to always be evaluating a person's performance, especially when an individual could affect so many others.
This slideshow is to teach one of the most critical cornerstones of the entire SAFe process and that is the Planning Increment (PI).
This shoud teach the bascis so an individual can go away and start their journey towards planning their first one and have a good understanding of what a day at a PI looks like.
There are varying opinions on pair within the programming community and work as a whole. In this presentation, we will dive into how different companies (i.e. Pivotal, Cengage, Menlo) do it and the reasoning behind it. We also use this as a discussion piece to drive what makes pairing succeed or fail as a whole.
Needs are the basic building blocks of life. All humans need relatively the same things to continue existing and remaining happy. If this is true statement then how is it so difficult to explain ours needs to another individual? We are both humans and both presumably speak the same language. What is really holding us back?
I will be exploring my journey through Nonviolent Communication and the lessons I have learned through this. I will be talking down examples from real life that are sadly too common in all of our lives. Hopefully this will spur thinking and communication building in all of our lives and create ideas that we can take back to our team to use on a daily basis.

Finally we had lovely workshop with the participants trying to find out different ways to think about quality and testing in different parts of the DevOps infinity loop.
Smart TV Buyer Insights Survey 2024 by 91mobiles.pdf91mobiles
91mobiles recently conducted a Smart TV Buyer Insights Survey in which we asked over 3,000 respondents about the TV they own, aspects they look at on a new TV, and their TV buying preferences.
"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

2. Defining
The Six Thinking Hats technique (6TH) of Edward de Bono is a
model that can be used for exploring different perspectives towards
a complex situation or challenge.
www.valuebasedmanagement.net/methods_bono_six_thinking_hats.html
3. MethodsUsed
White Hat: with this thinking hat, you focus on the available data. Look at the information that
you have, analyze past trends, and see what you can learn from it. Look for gaps in your
knowledge, and try to either fill them or take account of them.
Red Hat: "wearing" the Red Hat, you look at problems using your intuition, gut reaction, and
emotion. Also, think how others could react emotionally.Try to understand the responses of
people who do not fully know your reasoning.
Black Hat: using Black Hat thinking, look at a decision's potentially negative outcomes. Look at
it cautiously and defensively.Try to see why it might not work. This is important because it
highlights the weak points in a plan. It allows you to eliminate them, alter them, or prepare
contingency plans to counter them.
Black Hat thinking helps to make your plans "tougher" and more resilient. It can also help you
to spot fatal flaws and risks before you embark on a course of action. It's one of the real
benefits of this model, as many successful people get so used to thinking positively that they
often cannot see problems in advance. This leaves them under-prepared for difficulties.
Yellow Hat: this hat helps you to think positively. It is the optimistic viewpoint that helps you to
see all the benefits of the decision and the value in it.Yellow Hat thinking helps you to keep
going when everything looks gloomy and difficult.
Green Hat: the Green Hat represents creativity. This is where you develop creative solutions to
a problem. It is a freewheeling way of thinking, in which there is little criticism of ideas. (You
can explore a range of creativity tools to help you.)
Blue Hat: this hat represents process control. It's the hat worn by people chairing meetings, for
example. When facing difficulties because ideas are running dry, they may direct activity into
Green Hat thinking. When contingency plans are needed, they will ask for Black Hat thinking.

6. “What does
this do”
excersie…
If someone doesn’t switch hats; what would you do?
How would you passively bring this into discussions?
What the biggest challenge with this process?
What is a time you would have seen this helping?
