The Year 6 SATs will take place during the week of May 9th, 2016. Students will take tests in reading, grammar/punctuation/spelling, and math. The reading test consists of three passages with different question types and takes one hour. For grammar, punctuation and spelling, there is a 45 minute written test and a 15 minute oral spelling test. The math tests include a 30 minute arithmetic test replacing mental math, and two 40 minute tests covering all areas of the math curriculum through word problems. Results will be reported as a standardized score rather than levels and sent to schools in July 2016.
