This document summarizes the results of Atlas World Group's 49th annual corporate relocation survey. 445 corporate decision-makers completed the online survey between January and March 2016. Key findings include:
- Nearly half of companies saw an increase in overall relocation volumes in 2015, and over 40% expect further increases in 2016. Relocation budgets also increased for around half of companies in both 2014 and 2015.
- The top factors affecting relocation in 2015 were lack of local talent, company growth, and expansion efforts. Family issues and spouse/partner employment remain the primary reasons employees decline relocation.
- Expectations for the US economy and real estate market in 2016 are positive but show slightly less anticipated improvement compared to recent years
