211104 @ BioC Asia 2021 Workshop
Introduction to Bioimage Analysis in R
This workshop covers basic methods of the image processing and image analysis in R using the Bioconductor package “EBImage” and the Orchestra platform. In addition, the image dataset is obtained from ExperimentHub using the “BioImageDbs” package. Using this dataset, we perform a supervised image segmentation using the U-NET model, one of deep learning models, provided by the rMiW package.
Our Leadership development program in Pune are designed specifically to advance the leadership capabilities of senior executives and help them assume a broader role within their organizations. Leadership Training in Pune provides leadership development for Senior Management, Middle Management, and Women Leaders.

The Affordable Care Act – Compliance Challenges for EmployersWinston & Strawn LLP
In King v. Burwell, the Supreme Court upheld the availability of subsidies to individuals in states that use federal healthcare exchanges under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This decision has important implications for employers due to how employer penalties are triggered under the ACA. While the decision may not be beneficial to employers in the short term, employers can now act with certainty in working to comply with coverage requirements under the ACA.
Erin Kartheiser and Steve Flores from our executive compensation and employee benefits practice presented a practical, interactive presentation that reviewed the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision, compliance challenges facing employers, and areas of potential risk.
Environmental Issues in Federal Permitting for Energy ProjectsWinston & Strawn LLP
This eLunch addressed recent developments in environmental law that affect renewable, fossil, and nuclear energy projects, as well as new transmission construction. Winston & Strawn attorneys Eleni Kouimelis, Stephanie Sebor, and Tyson Smith described the latest Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service rules and Council on Environmental Quality guidance that implicate energy project development across the United States. The discussion included examples of recent power projects that highlight the shifting regulatory and permitting framework for energy development and discuss ways to mitigate the effects of these changes.
Topics discussed included the following:
1. Recent developments in Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and Greenhouse Gas Regulation
2. Coordinating NEPA among multiple federal permitting agencies
3. Mitigating effects of new rulemakings during lengthy permitting processes
Research demonstrates that we all harbor unconscious biases. The good news is that enhanced awareness and training can create an inclusive culture that identifies and helps eliminate these hidden biases. For more details

Despite several employer-friendly cases over the last few years, filings of wage and hour class actions continues to increase—creating risks and costs for even the most cautious companies. During the eLunch, Joan Fife and Emilie Woodhead discussed the latest wage and hour issues employers face and strategies for addressing them.

Constructing a knowledge graph for information sys...Shinji Takao
Knowledge graphs have been getting attention because of its relevance to interpretable AI. Not only that, they also can be useful as a knowledge sharing mean which enable non-experts to utilize experts’ knowledge. We aim to report findings from constructing a knowledge graph through eliciting experts’ knowledge and building a knowledge database. We also suggest the possibilities and issues of knowledge graph as a knowledge sharing mean.
Data analysis software for upper atmospheric research. The software was written by JavaFX. The software can handle many kinds of upper atmospheric data observed by ground-based observation.

Variety issues in Big Data.
Data Format is not unified.
To unify it is too difficult.
Data Analysis absorb the difference of data format.

19. 5 Stars OPEN DATA
⭐️
make your stuff available on the Web (whatever
format) under an open
license.
⭐️⭐️
make it available as structured data
(e.g., Excel instead of image scan of a table).
⭐️⭐️⭐️
make it avaibalbe in a non-proprietary open
format (e.g., CSV as well as of Excel).
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
use URIs to denote things, so that people
can point at your stuff.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
link your data to other data to provide
context.
