DETAILS ON HOW THE PARTS ARE BEING DONE THROUGH THE DRY
LAY-UP PROCESS.
First we clean the mold thoroughly, wipe the surface with the rags. Then apply the
release wax (Ram 225 / 700 nc), this will allow the per-mold part to detach easily from
its mold after curing. And the lay-up carbon mat on the surface of the mold (for parts
that require carbon cloth), carbon mat gives a glossy outer- skin finish of the laid parts,
but for the parts that require pre-preg material 7781, there is no need to lay-up carbon
mat. Then follow first bid lay-up. Fiber orientation should always alternate ply of 0-90 or
+/- 45 degrees respectively. Then follow second bid lay-up. Then follow the carbon uni-
directional to its required location, (this serve as stiffener) only if the laid parts has
required to have carbon uni because some parts do not required to have carbon uni.
Then the film adhesive (NB101/331) first level, and then put the film (NB101/131). Then
continue the lay-up, follow the peel ply (then protect the fabric material from direct
contact with the bagging materials when curing process is being done). Then put the
breather cloth to their corresponding locations (this serve as air passage when the
4. bagging procedure perform). And then put the sealant tape and edge of the part. After
all, attached the valve to the bagging film, to draw the air trapped inside. Then curing
procedure will follow. We put the oven all the bagged and then heat them up to 280
degrees Fahrenheit.
