The study involved 153 Class 7 students from 4 schools in Meru, Kenya. The treatment group consisted of 90 students from 2 schools whose teachers received training on Eneza's SMS tool. The control group had 63 students from 2 other schools whose teachers did not receive training. According to mock exams given before and after the study, students whose teachers used the SMS tool scored an average of 9.5 points higher than the control group, demonstrating a 22.7% increase in growth.
