This document discusses the importance of being an engaged church member and combating spiritual dangers. It provides guidelines for church members, such as being functioning, unifying, and not letting personal preferences divide the church. The document also discusses the reality of spiritual conflict from forces like Satan, sin, and the world. However, it emphasizes that Christians have overcome these through Christ and can expect spiritual victory by exposing darkness, resisting the devil, and overcoming delusion. Church leaders are especially vulnerable to attack, so prayer and support are needed.
My Grace Doctrinal Disagreement with Pastor Joseph SelmanLoveLoGo Ltd
Pastor Joseph Selman sees the Gospel of Grace as incomplete without "The Gospel of the Kingdom". However, I believe that this misses the point and conflates categories.
Jesus preached the "good news of the Kingdom of God" but that in no way is superior to Paul's focus on "the good news of Grace". I dare to say that they are equally complementary scopes of understanding.

St Nikodemus, compiler of the Philokalia, knows little about St John of the island of Karpathos, we know he is a monk, perhaps he was also the bishop of that island. Perhaps the monks from India to whom he addresses this work lived in Ethiopia.
St John of Karpathos encourages us to persevere in the spiritual life. The Church Fathers teach us to practice self-discipline, to reinforce good habits that draw us closer to God, to avoid bad habits that lead us to stray away from God. The soul must “endure with fortitude every tribulation, whether inflicted by men or by demons. . . Our sufferings are no more than we deserve, and we should never blame anyone but ourselves.” Our virtue is increased by “fear of God, attentiveness, constant meditation on the words of Scripture, and arming ourselves with prayer.”
St John of Karpathos echoes many of the themes of the Philokalia:
• Need for self-discipline and good habits.
• Guarding our virtue, avoiding slander and idle talk.
• Unceasing prayer and reciting the psalms.
• Repentance and avoiding despair.

What is a humble person in the eyes of God? What I see about the humility in the world is that I am very incompetent, and then say to myself that it is not worth it at all. People who are often humble are those who can ask me questions, but I am not sure. You can answer it, but in fact he doesn’t give you time to ask questions. This is the humility of the world. What God calls humility is the ability to obey God’s words, because if you want to obey God’s words, the first condition must be You must first take up your own cross, and then you must resist all the oppression of the world. To truly achieve this, it is impossible unless Jesus Christ lives in you. Therefore, God will not give you such a benefit for pride. This explains why God resists The proud give grace to the humble. It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.

25. Spiritual Danger
• Galatians 1:3-5
• Grace and peace to you from
God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ, who gave himself
for our sins to rescue us from
the present evil age, according
to the will of our God and
Father, to whom be glory for
ever and ever. Amen.
26. Spiritual Danger
• Colossians 1:13
• For he has rescued us from the
dominion of darkness and
brought us into the kingdom of
the Son he loves.
27. Spiritual Danger
• 2 Corinthians 4:4
• The god of this age has blinded
the minds of unbelievers, so
that they cannot see the light of
the gospel that displays the
glory of Christ, who is the
image of God.
28. Spiritual Danger
• Ephesians 4:25-27
• Therefore each of you must put
off falsehood and speak
truthfully to your neighbor, for
we are all members of one body.
“In your anger do not sin”: Do
not let the sun go down while
you are still angry, and do not
give the devil a foothold.
29. Spiritual Danger
• 1 John 3:7-8
• Dear children, do not let anyone
lead you astray. The one who
does what is right is righteous,
just as he is righteous. The one
who does what is sinful is of the
devil, because the devil has
been sinning from the
beginning.

not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful
nature. For I have the desire to do
what is good, but I cannot carry it
out. ...”
34. Spiritual Conflict ~ Expect It!
3. The Persuasiveness of the
World System
– 1 John 2:15-16
• “ Do not love the world or anything
in the world. If anyone loves the
world, love for the Father is not in
them. For everything in the world—
the lust of the flesh, the lust of the
eyes, and the pride of life—comes
not from the Father but from the
world.”
35. Spiritual Conflict ~ Expect It!
4. The Power of Satanic
Opposition
1. Erosion
– Revelation 3:14-20

was deceived by the serpent’s
cunning, your minds may somehow
be led astray from your sincere and
pure devotion to Christ.”
39. Spiritual Victory ~ Live It!
• 1 John 4:4
• You, dear children, are from
God and have overcome them,
because the one who is in you is
greater than the one who is in
the world.
40. Spiritual Victory ~ Live It!
• Expose the Darkness
– Ephesians 5:11
• “But everything exposed by the light
becomes visible ...”
• Resist the Devil
– Ephesians 6:10-18
• “... Put on the full armor of God, so that
you can take your stand against the
devil’s schemes.”
• Overcome the Delusion
– 1 John 2:12-14
• “…because you have overcome the evil
one”
41. Spiritual Leaders ~ Attacked!
• Zechariah 13:7, Mark 14:27
– Strike the shepherd, and the sheep
will be scattered.
• Ephesians 6:12
