The Orange Public Schools held their annual spelling bee on May 16, 2013 in the Mary L. Tracy Meeting Room. Students from grades 3 through 6 competed in teams from Race Brook, Turkey Hill, and Peck Place schools. Ariba Chadhry from grade 5 at Peck Place and Michael Haverstock from grade 4 at Turkey Hill were named the champions of their respective divisions. The spelling bee was overseen by retired teachers Mrs. Carol Anderson, Mrs. Roseann Haakerud, and Mrs. Mickey Flanagan and coordinated by Ann Marie DePetto.
