The document discusses two projects that information specialists at Laurea University of Applied Sciences collaborated on: an electronic nursing documentation project (eNNI) with a local hospital, and Researchers' Night, an EU-funded project.
For eNNI, the information specialist worked with nurses and lecturers to plan workshops where students learned about scientific information retrieval and how to apply it in a healthcare setting. This represented a new role for the information specialist outside the library. For Researchers' Night, the information specialist helped tourism students create an event space and information corner in the library about tourism research. Both projects strengthened partnerships between the university and working life and raised the profile of the library.
