A Shared ResponsibilityThe problem this district faces is a complex one, and defies simple solutions.District administration, as stewards of public monies, have a responsibility to present a fair and balanced budget to the Board of Education and the public.In preparing the 2010-11 budget, administration was realistic in its projections and anticipated scenarios, which allowed for the quick turnaround in presenting the BOE with a balanced budget within 24 hours of the release of state aid numbers.
