INTRODUCTION OF A NOVEL ANOMALOUS SOUND DETECTION METHODOLOGY
This paper is to introduce a novel semi-supervised methodology, the enhanced incremental principal
component analysis (“IPCA”) based deep convolutional neural network autoencoder (“DCNN-AE) for
Anomalous Sound Detection (“ASD”) with high accuracy and computing efficiency. This hybrid
methodology is to adopt Enhanced IPCA to reduce the dimensionality and then to use DCNN-AE to extract
the features of the sample sound and detect the anomality. In this project, 228 sets of normal sounds and
100 sets of anomaly sounds of same machine are used for the experiments. And the sound files of machines
(stepper motors) for the experiments are collected from a plant site. 50 random test cases are executed to
evaluate the performance of the algorithm with AUC, PAUC, F measure and Accuracy Score. IPCA Based
DCNN-AE shows high accuracy with the average AUC of 0.815793282, comparing with that of Kmeans++
of 0.499545351, of Incremental PCA based DBSCAN clustering of 0.636348073, of Incremental based
PCA based One-class SVM of 0.506749433 and of DCGAN of 0.716528104. From the perspective of
computing efficiency, because of the dimensions-reduction by the IPCA layer, the average execution time
of the new methodology is 15 minutes in the CPU computing module of 2.3 GHz quad-core processors,
comparing with that of DCGAN with 90 minutes in GPU computing module of 4 to 8 kernels.

The intelligent electronic travelling aid for the visually impaired (IETA-VI) designed and developed by the authors and reported here, intends to provide solution to the navigational challenges of the visually impaired individuals. The system utilizes the ultrasonic detection technology for detecting any obstacle in his/her path, and then converts the distance to the obstacle into voice using voice synthesis technology so as to inform the visually impaired user. The device uses GPS and GSM technologies to determine the location of the user and to send this location to his/her care givers on mobile phone, respectively. The device also recognizes the voice signals of the visually impaired when in distress, by making use of voice recognition technology and send SMS to his care givers giving his location and asking them to help him. In a moment of emergency, when the visually impaired requires the attention of his/her care givers, the device provides three alternatives: The first alternative it provides is an emergency key, which when pressed will automatically send the location of the visually impaired to the care givers. The second alternative is that the visually impaired shouts (gives a voice command), the device responds by sending the location of the visually impaired to the care givers. The third alternatives take care of the situation when the user is unconscious or cannot even speak. This is provided by the display device, which displays the names and contact details of his/her care givers, so that someone can offer a helping hand. to braking system and sensing system. In parallel to the development of braking
technologies, sensors have been developed that are capable of detecting physical obstacles,
other vehicles or pedestrians around the vehicle. This development prevents accidents of
vehicles using Stereo Multi-Purpose cameras, Automated Emergency Braking Systems and
Ultrasonic Sensors. The stereo multi-purpose camera provides spatial intelligence of up to
50 metres in front of the vehicle and there is an environment recognition of 500 metres.
Cars can automatically brake due to obstacles or any hindrance when the sensor senses the
obstacles. The braking circuit function is to brake the car automatically after receiving
signal from the sensors. All cars are competent in applying brakes automatically to a
maximum extent of deceleration of 0.4g. Integrated safety systems are based on three
principles. They are: collision avoidance, collision mitigation braking systems and forward
collision warning.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Vehicle technology has increased rapidly in recent years, particularly in relation
to braking system and sensing system. In parallel to the development of braking
technologies, sensors have been developed that are capable of detecting physical obstacles,
other vehicles or pedestrians around the vehicle. This development prevents accidents of
vehicles using Stereo Multi-Purpose cameras, Automated Emergency Braking Systems and
Ultrasonic Sensors. The stereo multi-purpose camera provides spatial intelligence of up to
50 metres in front of the vehicle and there is an environment recognition of 500 metres.
Cars can automatically brake due to obstacles or any hindrance when the sensor senses the
obstacles. The braking circuit function is to brake the car automatically after receiving
signal from the sensors. All cars are competent in applying brakes automatically to a
maximum extent of deceleration of 0.4g. Integrated safety systems are based on three
principles. They are: collision avoidance, collision mitigation braking systems and forward
collision warning.

The objective of this paper is to develop an innovative microprocessor-based sensible glass for those who are square measure visually impaired. There are no devices that can provide object, hole, and barrier information associated with distance, family member, and safety information in a single device. Our proposed guiding glass provides all that necessary information to the blind person’s ears as audio instructions. The proposed system relies on Raspberry pi three model B, Pi camera, and NEO-6M global positioning system (GPS) module. We use TensorFlow and faster region-based convolutional neural network (R-CNN) approach for detection of objects and recognition of family members of the blind man. This system provides voice information through headphones to the ears of the blind person, and facile the blind individual to gain independence and freedom within the indoor and outdoor atmosphere.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
