How can your team get the most out of Office 365?
Microsoft Office 365 is full of rich features, but boy can it be challenging to manage. Thoughtful consideration around defining governance and aligning features with business tasks is absolutely critical.
So what do you need to know?
In this webinar, Jill Hannemann of Portal Solutions walks you through use cases surrounding Office 365 features and discusses strategies for framing context to introduce to user groups. We covered:
- The workloads in Office 365
- The strengths and weaknesses for the workloads in context to productivity
- Governance framework with which to structure your own strategy
5 technologies that shorten the document lifecycle & increase productivityNikec Solutions
As the business world moves faster, lawyers are expected to respond to a client’s demand swiftly and consequently need to produce documents quicker than ever. With the different processes involved between the creation and the completion of a document (initial scanning, editing, reviewing, approval and sharing) – i.e. the document lifecycle – teams must stay sharp and consistent to meet those shorter response times.
Digitalisation has revolutionised the speed at which we work with documents but the use of latest technologies can further enhance this. Here are some of the instrumental technologies that will help optimise your document life cycle, without requiring an army of IT experts to manage.

As content strategists, our work often involves trying to change the way an organisation does something—whether it’s by way of a new website, updates to navigation, a content review, or even implementing a governance model.
And at the heart of change are people. Some who will be excited and ready to embrace what you’re doing, and some who will be harder to engage as they become protective of their patch of turf. Competing priorities, battles over budget, and plain old internal politics can be tough to manage, especially if you’ve got a project to deliver.
This presentation looks at practical ways you can collaborate with complex stakeholders on your next content project. It will discuss different warning signs to keep your eye out for that could disrupt your plans, as well as offer tips for gathering stakeholder requirements, obtaining constructive input, and techniques for aligning different business groups to share a common vision.

Increase Business Value with an Integrated IT PPM and ITSM Solution Mike Otranto
Learn about Project Online and ITSM Integration. Project Online integration with ServiceNow, Project Online and Cherwell integration Project Online integration with Dynamics 365.
IT departments commonly use an ITSM solution such as Microsoft Dynamics and ServiceNow, in addition to Project Online, to track and manage requests for IT service. However, there is little process in place to manage larger pieces of work, such as projects and programs, and to understand how IT resources are being utilized across organizational initiatives.
Integrating PPM systems with ITSM systems can move organizations from being a bucket brigade to an organized emergency unit. In this webinar, we will demonstrate how IT leadership can better support the business and answer key questions such as:
Is IT actively engaged in activities that are directly impacting the strategic objectives of the organization as whole?
How much time and budget are we spending on strategic vs. maintenance activities?
How and where is IT adding value to the business, and what ROI can be expected on these efforts?
What departments or business units are consuming the most IT resources and can we make operational improvements better support the needs of these groups?

How can you minimize the amount of paper documentation managed on projects? Thankfully, software such as Primavera Contract Management and Unifier by Oracle with integration to AutoVue can help. Share CH2M HILL’s journey to delivering paperless document control. The Engineering and Construction (E&C) industry is drowning under its own weight in paper, yet conversely driving forward with the adoption of Building Information Modelling. Each project uses hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands or more documents throughout its lifecycle (i.e. Bidding, Construction Execution > Hand-over). There are few other industries generating so many documents that need to be shared, reviewed, edited and approved by numerous stake-holders. These processes are full of inefficiency and often disconnected from the very systems that are supposed to control and record change.

Good data is like good water: best served fresh, and ideally well-filtered. Data Management strategies can produce tremendous procedural improvements and increased profit margins across the board, but only if the data being managed is of high quality. Determining how Data Quality should be engineered provides a useful framework for utilizing Data Quality management effectively in support of business strategy. This, in turn, allows for speedy identification of business problems, delineation between structural and practice-oriented defects in Data Management, and proactive prevention of future issues. Organizations must realize what it means to utilize Data Quality engineering in support of business strategy. This webinar will illustrate how organizations with chronic business challenges can often trace the root of the problem to poor Data Quality. Showing how Data Quality should be engineered provides a useful framework in which to develop an effective approach. This in turn allows organizations to more quickly identify business problems as well as data problems caused by structural issues versus practice-oriented defects and prevent these from reoccurring.
Learning objectives:
-Help you understand foundational Data Quality concepts for improving Data Quality at your organization
-Demonstrate how chronic business challenges for organizations are often rooted in poor Data Quality
-Share case studies illustrating the hallmarks and benefits of Data Quality success

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Welcome to the mission critical systems Collaboration in the Clouds webinar. Thank you for joining us. 2010 has been an interesting year for office technology, and we’re going to spend the next hour talking through some of the new innovations, including SharePoint 2010, Office 2010, Windows 7 and Cloud Computing.
Today, your presenters will be Jenny Douras, the MCS Director of Knowledge Management, and me, Steven Nichols, the Director of Business Development for Mission Critical Systems.
The presentation will take about an hour. We’ll start by introducing MCS and what we call THE BIG CONCEPT, which is the driving force for much of this innovation. We’ll look at the application of this technology for End Users, Business Managers, and Back end IT personnel, and we’ll wrap up with questions and a look toward what is developing on the horizon.

An End users, George, the Senior Sales Consultant
A business manager, Elaine, the CEO
An IT person, Kramer, IT
George is a senior sales consultant working with large companies in the Western United States. He is out of the office traveling 3 days a week. He has most of the company’s client data in his laptop bag, and he lives on email.
When he goes onsite for a meeting with a client he.

Emails through consumer email back to office, sending paperwork as an attachment.
Problems
Isn’t around for internal meetings, so he misses a lot of information.
Doesn’t have access to documents on the server while traveling
Communicating with the office is entirely through email.
Solutions to show
SharePoint Project sites around clients
SP Meeting workspaces to catch up on missed meeting info
Uploading documents and emails with Workspace
SharePoint Workspace (Outlook is to Exchange as SP Workspace is the SP)
OneNote – can easily upload and share notes from client meetings

Ease of use in navigating around the new SP 2010 to find and access what he needs
Gets right documents with SharePoint– Show document library, or workspace
Enters notes in OneNote with Recording – Uses SharePoint Workspace to upload to SharePoint site
Uploads paperwork to site
Uses workspace to manage schedule and collaboration
Synchs calendar or client tasks with Outlook
Technology, especially email, has creating information overload. In George’s case he creates 2,500 new documents a year, receives 150 emails, and still uses paper because it’s easier to manage.
