Adapted from Heleen van Rossum’s Will You Carry Me?

Fiona was happy. All morning, she had played on the playground, but now it was time to go home.
So Fiona felt sad and tired … She stretched toward her father and said, “Will you carry me?”
“If you’re too sad and tired to walk,” said her father we should try … JUMPING!”
So together Fiona and her father jumped! At first, Fiona felt happy, but soon she felt sad and
tired. “I’m too sad and tired to jump anymore,” said Fiona. “Will you carry me?”
“If you’re too sad and tired to jump,” said her father we should try … SWIMMING!”
                              (repeat with FLYING, then RUNNING)
Fiona and her father ran all the way home, and Fiona felt happy!
