4. What we do to improve the NSW KM Forum
experience? This includes format and logistics.
I would like email notifications of the events, as I don't look at my RSS feeds enough...
Campaign Monitor provides free email credits to community / user groups... so that
might be an option to manage the mailing list.
logistics and timing great. Really appreciate the fact that it is high quality stuff for a gold
coin donation. the last presentations was OK, but... powerpoints were full of endless
bullet points... and so hard to listen to
Keep the variety flowing
I like the trend towards combining sessions with other groups like the Sydney Sharepoint
User Group, or the IIM. This is good for lateral, cross-functional thinking. Keep it up.
The knowledge cafe sessions have been quite good too. You might want to see what
other promotional opportunities there are. More in this case is good.
I like the format, especially where the participants are involved in activities.
Become a little more IT focused instead of methodology with no depth.

Getting together with other groups; e.g. SharePoint group, was a great way to broaden
the scope of the group and also bring in experts from another area, as well as
networking. Perhaps more collaboration with other groups. I also like a mix of the
lectures (theory) and the hands on practical. I thought this year was a great mix of
topics and formats. Well done!
Keep the Wiki up to date with when/what the next meeting is.
Broaden the target member spetrum, open the shop to more people in different walks of
life. Reduce use of jargons. Make KM more mainstream by talking KM in plain
English and in the "dialects" of other professionals.
I am just so happy to hear something new - just sometimes I have nothing to contribute
because I know nothing about the topic, so, feel a bit guilty
I like the networking time to discuss the keypoints. Format works well. Maybe improve
induction and welcome of new attendees.

any suggestions for speakers?
I loved the integration with SharePoint UG... maybe one or two more of those...
how to, practical, like the fact that there are a range of subject areas, good to learn from
and interesting
Bring a problem/challenge sessions - perhaps cafe solution labs
More cross "club" events
I like anything that is hands-on, or case-focused. I'm not great on theory. Perhaps lean on
people (like me!) to talk about what's bugging them about KM or collaboration or social
media or whatever, and why, then let the assembled people solve the problem for
them!
I am like to be surprised by the events and the topics as they are announced as that is
what holds hold my interest in KM NSW. i am not a KM specialist and as such I see
the KnM events all the time as learning experiences.

A few more vendors in and less of the same speakers plugging their own agenda
Anything KM related is good (and I know it's a very broad topic) - I think the topic is
merely a catalyst to get interested people together to chat about various
aspects/approaches.
How do you manage knowledge in a large, complex project, involving many people from
different organisations, with different backgrounds, cultures and "languages"?
Anything new, hot topics, new technologies, new concepts, new practice, best practice,
what other knowledge organisations are doing /using /facing, etc - but I guess you are
doing all of these already.
