This document provides research and planning for a short film targeted at 20-25 year olds. It analyzes audience data showing that demographic makes up a large portion of cinema-goers. Potential production techniques are explored like filming in reverse or depicting time stopping. Constraints of a low budget, limited time, locations and personnel are noted. The goal is to create age-appropriate content for this target audience within the constraints.

Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. 7. Identify target audience
• My target audience will be 20-25. this allows me a slightly more mature
audience for a slower paced film. But also allows me to relate to the
audience as I am of the same age and have similar tastes.
• I will not target it to any gender.
• This target audience will allow me to target an extremely large audience
of cinemagoers, as well as allowing me to keep my creative visions
intact.
8. Audience appropriate content
• Given your idea generation and your audience research, what sort of content would you
define as the appropriate. Consider issues of taste, certification [BBFC might be a good
starting point for this], etc. Look at what you’d like to include and what you are allowed to
include.
9. Production techniques research
• Research potential production techniques you might
want to use or feel would be most appropriate – these
can be related to camera, editing, story, sound, etc
• You should look at a minimum of 3 related products in
your research.
• You should collect clips/still images/how to guides/etc
that might help you. When watching scenes from films,
etc you could also ask potential target audience what
they think.
• You will need to add extra slides!
• With each technique you should assess whether you
can use it or how you might employ or why you may
want to disregard it completely
10. Product 1
• A Murder shot in reverse
• We would open with a dead body and see footage
in reverse of a murder taking place.
11. Product 2
• What if time Froze?
• We follow someone as they discover time has
stopped for everything but them.
12. Product 3
• Game of hide and seek
• When child closes eyes the adult actually disappers.
13. Constraints on production
• List all the potential constraints that might affect or limit your production, you should
consider issues from each of these categories:
• Time/Personnel/Cost/Technical/Location/Organisational
• Limit time of two days with my camera meaning I have time limit and no time to
experiment and reflect.
• I have a very low budget meaning limited props to what I can find for free and only
voluntary actors.
• I have three locations immediately available to me, house, office and countryside. This
gives me a limited amount of scenarios for my film.
• Low budget also means limited costumes so has to be set in a recent time period.
