This study aims to examine the prevalence and factors contributing to mobile game addiction among university students. A cross-sectional survey was conducted of 1125 students at three universities in Bangladesh. The findings showed that male students were more likely to exhibit addictive behaviors than female students. Loneliness, time spent using smartphones and playing mobile games, and using games for entertainment were found to be the main causes of mobile game addiction. Over half of respondents (54.3%) were severely addicted and influenced by friends and YouTube gamers. Addicted students also reported physical health issues like headaches and eye/ear problems.
