Chalkpiece is a nonprofit organization that uses design thinking to address social problems. It aims to introduce design education into school curriculums. Over the past 3 years, it has reached over 1000 students through awareness programs and addressed over 10 social problems. It offers career guidance, design education workshops, and trains educators in design thinking. Chalkpiece has launched several initiatives like Chalk Van, Chalk Library, and Genie Fellowship to provide design education to underprivileged communities. It seeks donations to continue and expand its outreach efforts.

Micro Chalk Lab
A classroom is a place where life values
are taught through which child becomes
an adult thereby becoming a responsible
citizen. Therefore, its necessary to have a
problem- free environment. The chalk
council aims to make it simple for
teachers, parents and also the students in
this process of education by providing
solutions to various classroom crisis.
Genie is a person, a classroom comrade
or say an usher to the students and
teachers who is appointed to help them in
solving problem regarding education,
community level, emotional needs and
support, guidance in subjects and so on
and so forth.
Chalk labs is working closer in
enhancing the 3C’s that is creativity
curiosity and critical thinking among
the underprivileged children.
Therefore, the organization has come
up with an extensive ten week
program which will help in unleashing
the skills of these children belonging
to the deprived community.
A collaborative space, welcoming all
NGO’s to join hands with us in this
purposeful journey of bringing out the
design skills and spreading the light of
design knowledge through events for
kids and elders

6. Chalk Van

Chalk Van is a 10 week program. Every week
the team will visit the place and live session
will be conducted. For the remaining days,
worksheets will be provided for the
students and collected by the end of the
week. This program enables to reduce the
education gap caused by the pandemic.
Chalk Library, a creative library for kids.
This library stands out of other usual
libraries in many ways starting from
access the books to understanding the
content of the book. This library
encourages kids to learn by playing and
participating in various activities.
Chalk Talk, a platform for you to
speak. Be a designer or not, be a
design-related topic or not. We are
here to hear you speak. We speak,
listen and learn as a team.
Most NGO’s suffer from not being
recognized by the public. This
normally happens due to the lack of
designers who help in painting
posters and promoting the cause.
Noticing such a problem The chalk
fuse was brought upon to bridge
the gap between the NGO’s and the
Designers.

14. Future Of Chalkfuse
To bring about a change in left behind communities by introducing
alternative learning mechanisms to the kids; where learning expands
beyond classrooms and books to more inclusive, familiar, creative
methods that invite the children to ask questions, actively participate in not
just the learning, but also the problem solving process. Eventually giving
them the much needed confidence to face the real world challenges.
ABOUT GENIE
To bridge the gap in the learning abilities of kids from the most
vulnerable and left behind communities.
To create an alternative learning environment for such kids, so that they
over come the fear of learning and actively participate in it.
To instill hope amongst such kids and equip them with the skills
required to cherish life.
To maybe create a process which could be replicated world over to
help such kids from various diaspora.

15. We introduce a Genie to a select student group
from a left behind community. This Genie will
interact with the children, assess their strengths,
weakness, build trust and come up with activities
that could help them to work together with their
fellow peers and come up with workable solutions
for their collective, individual challenges/needs.
HOW WE DO THAT ?
Fund a Genie's salary for a year.
Fund the recurring costs for a year.
Fund any or all of the one time costs according
